Remember Larry the Roman?

He was sold to IEAH by Larry Roman and they bought back after he crashed and burned in the 2007 Whirlaway behind Summer Doldrums?

He's making his first start since that race at Philly tomorrow in the 9th. Interesting thing (among several) is that IEAH is listed as one of the owners. How about that Edgar Prado is named to ride? I've never heard of the trainer but I'm told he used to be a race rider. He's only got 2 published works but I am also told he was training at a farm/training center. I guess he bowed a tendon but the trainer thinks he's in great shape. Oh, and it's a fairly salty allowance sprint he's in.

Isn't this the horse that Larry Roman offered to pay owners of mares to breed to?

What a good dude he is (The owner)

All the people those guys have yanked off and he paid them back. Now thats a man with some integrity.

On his earnings they'll list it as $150 - not $40 - right?

I thought he ran well all things considered, he had to be 1-9 to break down, so the fact that he finishes the race is an accomplishment.

Right....

And I wonder if some trainers are hitting their owners 10% on losing jock mount revenue.

Alot of tracks are going to this model so they weren't chasing funds for losing jock mounts, since the jock get credited for the mount (whatever they earn) literally right after the race
