Well when a track is busy naming stakes after a horse its doubtful they'll make her carry what she should carry.

Smooth Operator 03-07-2010 05:17 PM

They can put DrugS and Mathman on her back and it won't matter in this one.

She's ready to roll.

RA on the other hand.............. ???

I do better with early speed, but thanks for the consideration.

The Indomitable DrugS 03-07-2010 07:01 PM

I'd just stiff her and make a betting score.

"And sumthins the matter with ZennnnYotta today .. her new rider appears to be angling her to the outside fence.

And now let's see .... DrugS has dismounted and is in full flight for the tellers. They would need to sprout wings to get to DrugS."

What should she carry? Few on this forum have an interest in this mare. In this day and age of handicaps bearing little resemblance to those years ago, Zenyatta toted 129 lbs. in her second race back last year. Not a horse that raced last year carried that last year. She gave 13 to 18 lbs. to the competition. So little was mentioned of it at the time, but it's become a topic of interest. Can't imagine why.

Funny you mention a race named for Zenyatta. The New Orleans race was created for Rachel. Your point?

Rachel is out of restricted company. Hello, weights.

Most horses don't get stakes named after them after a few days of "retirement" but SA and Cal in general pulled out all the stops trying to sway horse of the year voters...it didn't work.....Meanwhile if she's the second coming as many say she is, 140 sounds about right against these tin cans.

She should carry a keg since she is big enough to be a draft horse.

From what I understand, there was some discussion about renaming the new lifesize bronze of John Henry at Santa Anita after her.

Forgetting about the weight assignment for a second, even if you aren't in the Zenyatta cheering party, do you really want to see her lose with 133 pounds?

Handicap races are a joke nowadays across the board. Let's just dump them already.
