I order a coca cola at the Miami Duke game
Pay the $4.50:eek: and she takes the cap off and throws it away:confused:
Seems they have a problem with fans throwing the caps at the players on the court:( I had a blast and met a lot of great people at the game, both Duke and Miami fans. Matter of fact I sat a couple rows behind the chick who was holding the sign upside down with a marriage proposal that was all over Sportscenter for those that saw it. You just can't beat a day at the races at Gulfstream Park and then cap it off with a good College Basketball game :tro: |

i believe they take the caps 'cuz a full bottle hurts a lot more than one that empties itself on the way to a target.
btw......how the hell to you pay $ to see the pukies play:eek: .... |
NOT allowing the student section in for a couple games would cure that problem.

Raymond James in Tampa does the same. When I buy bottled water for my kids, the vendor takes the caps and throws them away, I reach in my pocket, pull out the caps that I brought from home and put them right back on bottle.
It only took one spilled $4 bottle of water for me to figure that one out. :) |
I have encountered capless bottles only once in stadiums/arenas. Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, does same thing. And are so damn friendly like they doing you a favor!
Security there was over-the-top... Electronic wands, patdowns, etc. Went to Fenway Park two nights later, handed ticket to attendant & walked right into park! |

Fed Ex Field also does the same (pretty sure Verizon Center as well), had to learn the hard way when i was double fisting and wanted to keep the 2nd beer cold, i was SOL. Just made me drink the first one faster though, probably a marketing scheme by "the man" to make you drink more, damn him -bt- |
