Buddy Saint=Is this guy for real?
Even though the I'm not crazy about Aqueduct and its pathetic fields and facility, B.S should like this distance. Again, not crazy about Bruce Levine, he's a 30 year lifer in NY that specalizes in claiming races. But will use B.S. because of his breeding, I like Lezano and I think he will get better as the distances & spring continues. Maybe he runs a solid race here and then skips the Florida Derby for the Wood Memorial. I don't think Jackson Bend can get the distance, maybe I'm wrong. I also curious to see what the pace factor will be like.

I had already pitched him.....but thanks for the further encouragement.

Either way, he's going to present no value and his Remsen was not very encouraging.

He may do well on Saturday, but it may again be due to circumstances other than his talent.
These 1-1/8 races at Gulfstream favor the inside horses so much it's ridiculous. Wasn't it last year's running of the Holy Bull at 1-1/8 that saw the daunting Saratoga Sinner, Bear's Rocket and West Side Bernie run 1-2-3, same as their post positions? Breaking from the 2, I see Buddy's Saint getting a pretty nice trip. If he does well, I'll be ready to bet against him with both fists in the Fl. Derby. |
Don't hate on West Side Bernie - that horse could actually run a bit. I have no idea where he is now though.

Ol' West Side is in Dubai.......supposed to be running pretty soon I think.
