Wouldn't have thought it would be possible for the Pro Bowl to become more of a joke than it was in the past but they really topped themselves this year. The QBs representing the AFC are Matt Schaub, Vince Young, and David Garrard. OMG :eek:

they should just make it a skills competition weekend and for get the game.

This has to be the first time that no QB made the playoffs. If they at least added Flacco and Palmer instead of Young and Garrard it would be a little more respectable. Who knows though, maybe those two turned them down.

And to think Schaub was #5 (deserving) Young #6 and Garrard #7 on the list of QB's for the AFC

I'd probably rank it:

1) Manning
2) Rivers
3) Brady
4) Roethlisberger
5) Schaub
6) Palmer
7) Flacco
8) Orton
9) Young
10) Garrard

So more like the 5th, 9th, and 10th best.

#4 went to Roethlisberger, who declined citing injuries

I even joked with some coleagues about who's going #7 when Manning gets to the Super Bowl.

oh, yeah, I know, I was just saying that I don't know how Young and Garrard got ranked 6 and 7. Palmer, Flacco, and Orton all had much better years.

If the Pro Bowl and the MLB All Star games went away, I wouldn't miss them for a second.

Pre-cable, they were fun events where you could see star players that you may or may not have been able to see during the regular season, depending on the TV market you lived in. Now, we see these guys play every day and none of them wants to even be there, except to collect their contract bonuses.

Could not agree with you more, nobody watched the damn game before this, and now it's even more of a disgrace! I mean what's next, coming soon to the MLB ALLSTAR GAME, The STARS OF A-BALL! :zz: They should just name an All Pro Team and skip playing this ridiculous game!
