Take Care John McCain

thanks for your military service and know the best thing to do for the country's and party's sake is to back this opponent.

actually I think he'd be excellent as head of Veteran Affairs as w/his connections I'm sure he'd be in a better spot to get necessary funding than say Tammy Duckworth. Wait till J.D. gets in and Arizona shows the rest of the country how to deal w/illegals. Speaking of illegals I think Maricopa AZ County's Joe Arapio would make an excellent head of Immigration and Naturalization. Call it the start of the 'Dream Team'

no just want illegals, who McCain protected like a mistress, gone to free up everything from desks in schools to hospitals beds to JOBS! And there's an old lady in Boston who needs to go first. Kenya is not Rwanda and at least we're not deporting her to Israel! Of course it has nothing to do w/hope and everything to do w/work so I understand it will never happen under Obama or any other socialist focused Pres.

Incidentally over 413,000 in custody and 732,000 fugitives

1.89 million anchor babies born

I'd argue the trivial amount of money they contribute and leave into SS is set off solely by the cost of those incarcerated.

Now how much $$$ do you suppose they have earned and sent home?

How much money has been spent educating them, including going so far as teaching in a bi-lingual environment?

Just recently we had new arrivals come in to the local bar for some cervezas after doing some roofing work. They ordered by pointing. Despite them living in Harvard, IL 8 miles away they hadn't a clue they were in Wisconsin. Not that they had traveled over the border from IL but they had never heard of the word Wisconsin.

Thank God at least locally you push 1 for English or 2 to hang up and call back when you learn how to speak it.

PS I'm sure these two all-stars had insurance on the truck they drove away with. I can't bear to think of the possibility of them having DL's though anything out of the Sec of State of IL would not surprise me.

i asked google, and saw that number-and more than once, including from INS. it's down from a high of 12 million or so in 07. perhaps your site includes legal immigrants?

at any rate, this thread got me thinking, and searching...and i found this:

http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscal.pdf

still in the process of reading it, but it certainly is enlightening thus far. i was unaware just how much of a financial drain that illegals are on the federal budget; one would have to assume that it's a drain on state budgets as well-for those experiencing high levels of illegals in their state. no doubt scuds will chime in on this altho california has other issues as well, such as education in that state making up 40% of the total budget costs, and retirement pay for govt workers being incredibly high.

you also need to take into consideration how much money is sent home rather than being re-invested back into our economy, taxed every step of the way.

am I the only one who thinks its noble to send money back to your family in a very poor country?

I have more respect for most illegals in this country than I do for most citizens.

i'd imagine more money isn't spend by fat cats who ship their money to offshore accounts.
the folks here may be sending money home, but how much do they spend here as well? it's a lot bigger picture than many imagine. it's a complex problem, and it'll take a complex solution.
