Azeri's first foal in 3rd at SA

Will Baffert have him cranked up?

Kasept 12-30-2009 11:53 AM

Wow.. This topic recounts a famous DT moment: the Great Azeri Foal Thread Registration Migration of 2007. About 250 registrants when word got out somewhere that we had photos of that first Azeri foal...

Here are three shots of Azeri and her new baby...

Yep.

That's what brought me here.

Well... you are widely known as the Prince of the Pretty Horsey set...

A troll told me that there were Laura de Seroux nudes on here. Boy was I duped.

why does Kaleem Shah own the horse, did he end up buying it privately from paulson who didnt want 7.7 million for him at the auction

he was forced to sell the horse, as well as the rest owned by the living trust. MP doesn't seem the sharpest tool in the shed, having bought back vallenzeri and azeri for huge amounts-only to later sell them for a fraction of those prices.

looked pretty good. Probably already moved to the top derby contenders. Ran like a AP Indy Azari should.

randallscott35 12-30-2009 04:48 PM

Nice run. Look forward to his next

I just watched it and totally agree.
Ivory Fudge is a well-bred colt who might turn out okay at some point and he pretty much had his own way through slow fractions up front. Despite that, Take Control pretty much ran right by him. I'm not sure how fast it will come back, but I thought it was a nice debut.

wac 12-30-2009 09:24 PM

i took away several positives from the race with the way he wasn't scared to mix it up with the other horses and really showd some good burst when he got thru. it wasn't like the other horses were scroching the earth with those fractions. may turn into something pretty nice. wonder how much the sheik will offer for him??:)

I was really impressed. The number should come back decent, even with that glacial pace it will end up being the fastest route race of the day. He really did it easily and had tons left at the end.

Best 2YO I've seen this year.

Crown Him!! :)

I totally agree! and he was very green before agreeing to go outside and once he did goodbye. Anxious to see a TG number for him.

I can imagine he was already pounded at the Future Book at Wynn yesterday.
I was a little surprised he hasn't been listed yet, but I'm sure they took plenty on him in the last 24 hours.

By the way...here's the top 10 horses who've taken the most money so far (or offered the lowest odds at least) at Wynn. Lots and lots of dead money if you ask me.

Looking at Lucky 6-1
Buddy's Saint 11-1
Tiz Chrome 20-1
Vale of York 20-1
Jackson Bend 25-1
American Lion 25-1
Rule 25-1
Nobles Promise 30-1
Sidney's Candy 35-1
Blind Luck 35-1

All the California horses seem to take more money from the Vegas futures books anyway, but being Take Control's hype, it being a Baffert, etc...I would guess he's already under 30-1.

With 5 months to the race, and these odds, these are all sucker bets. Every one.

6-1 on Looking at Lucky? No thanks. You will probably get better odds on Derby Day after he flops in the SA derby

I highly doubt he flops anywhere, but you could still get around 5-1 IMO.
