seemingly a legend gone..i remember the horse..but not the trainer..

"Legend" might be going a little too far.

He was consistantly a trainer with a win percentage in the single digits.

He did have a few pretty nice horses though.

Was he any relation to William Terrill from Our Sugar Bear Stables?

His father.

Monday's ATR featured Red's brother Bobby Terrill, former jock who still rides in the morning on horses he owns, and Jeff Odintz whose first job on the backside was walking hots for Red.

It's Hour 3 (1/4/10) and I think you'll find it entertaining. Terrill was a guy, like Scotty Schullhofer, who was widely loved and respected around the track. The Terrill family, like the Kelly Clan, are synonymous with the track and also with Broadway. Almost all the Terrills were, or are, Broadway stagehands in the afternoons/evenings after working the mornings at the racetrack. As I said yesterday, they are a family that 'doesn't exist in real life'. They are straight out of a Damon Runyon story.

I thought it was a great interview Steve. It's quite a family.
