LOL.....well....I actually played Stewart Cink this week at 60-1. So I have to root for him. He's -3 right now. I really hope that he doesn't hang around the top of the leaderboard all week, giving me a hard on, only to break my heart in the last few holes on Sunday.

I'll root for him too if you split the scrilla with me.

I don't think Cink even wants to really compete. He wants to approach it like he is an expert carpenter.Don't even think he ever looks at a leaderboard much.

We shall see....just some juice through the weekend would be nice.

A friend of mine I used to play in tournament with here in VA qualified for the PGA this year...Teed off a little after 1:00 I believe....Chip Sullivan.

GPK 08-17-2006 12:40 PM

-4 68 is a good start....at least he didn't bend me over in the first round by shooting 77 or something.

Scav 08-17-2006 06:03 PM

I forgot, I have .90 on Retief, I think he played well today, not sure

Bold Brooklynite 08-17-2006 08:53 PM

If Tiger doesn't grab the lead tomorrow ... he's done.

Never has come from off the pace in a major ... and won't do it this time either.

You know my first thought when I realized that Tiger and Phil would be in the same threesome the first two days was that it wouldn't be good for either one's chances of winning the tourney. As much as they dislike each other, I thought both would have wasted mental energy playing each other instead of the course. Gee what a surprise, they shoot the same score the first day. Not that either played bad, they both played well. But you can see the tension between them. Lets see what happens today.

Gander 08-18-2006 07:57 AM

Are they playing together again today?

Tim I believe the same threesomes are in effect today as yesterday. After the cut the pairings Saturday are based on score through the first two rounds.

You may have a point. How about The third in that group, Ogilvy. He sure didn't get caught up in that either as he shot 69 as well. Today will be very interesting to follow what they do today. Bet Tiger doesn't come out and bogey the 1st hole again. He butchered that par 5 and we know he birdies them most of the time. They said the rough was so high they had some of the gallery helping the officals find his ball. lost 2 shots on that, should have been 67 on that round.

Gander 08-18-2006 09:05 AM

The 2nd round has been traditionally when Tiger does his best work to secure himself a place of contention for the weekend. I doubt very much him and Phil shoot the same score today.

Come on Daly! He needs gambling money:p

whorstman 08-18-2006 06:12 PM

I will be bumping this up all weekend. The man is dialed in. This tourney is ovahhh! Not hitting tha drivah on every hole. Hmmmmmmm........ Ovahhh!! Who will want the ass whoopin this weekend. Phil hasn't got the heart. He is still not over the us open. Bleee dat.

whorstman 08-19-2006 04:58 PM

Well look who just took the lead..... I am ultra impressed with many guys out there firing really good rounds, but they are all playing for second. The man has 1 friggin bogey on the 1st hole of the tourney. If that isn't dialed in I don't know what is. I remember saying jokingly Thursday that the tourney was F@CKIN over, but it really wasn't far from BS-ing.

MinnSkinny 08-19-2006 05:11 PM

Phil won't be playing with Tiger tomorrow.

MinnSkinny 08-19-2006 07:33 PM

PPP says he's gotta shoot 64-65 tomorrow, he ain't got the heart, 2 bogeys and he's done. Wanna see TW bury the field, but sentimentally like Herron or DiMarco. Chris is prolly playin this for Mom, would be sweet for him to win it.
