I never heard a track announcer cry before....

today.

It sounded like Vic was all choked up when they crossed the wire.

Good job Vic and Joel - 6 wins

I think it was great. Congrats Vic.

GPK 12-11-2009 06:34 PM

My buddy at the OTB would have attributed it all to the black pants. He always bets the jock wearing black pants:zz:

Anyway, Congrats Vic and Joel. :tro:

Vic is an emotional guy. I think he also understands the sense of accomplishment. I thought he did a good job and he would have done what he did for ANY jock that won that many races in a day, let alone his jock.

I am surprised no one mentioned his Zenyatta speech, he was about 2 seconds from breaking down when talking about her, and honestly, something like that tells me how much he loves the game.

The Indomitable DrugS 12-11-2009 06:58 PM

"History for the 24-year-old Dominican...." ?

VOL JACK 12-11-2009 07:29 PM

Great job by Vic just to get mounts in all those 4 horse fields.

Vic went with a number (his age) to make the accomplishment sound more impressive.

The 30-year-old Tennis-See-An VOL JACK opted for a number to make it sound less impressive.

Your post would have been better if you included the birthplace of all the winning horses Joel rode.

I thought Vic did a great job yesterday with Crisp in the third grabbing the moment for what it was with RB up.
The excitement of the kookie filly blowing the turn into the parking lot and slamming it into 5th to win at the wire left you shaking your head with amazement. You could not tell it wasn't Joel up......

jballscalls 12-11-2009 08:13 PM

just watched the replays of the races today, what a great day for Joel and for Vic!

The Indomitable DrugS 12-11-2009 08:35 PM

Viva La Dominicana!

Rosario has actually been a great rider statistically from a betting value standpoint since almost day #1 on top of being high percentage.

There should be a $250 fine everytime a race caller mentions a jock's age (unless they're a hot chick who just turned 18 or something) and a $1,000 fine everytime they mention a nationality or place of birth.

That's information I don't want to know and won't easily forget.

I only watched the first two races from HWP today...they were both 4 horse fields.

I have 20 bucks, a bottle of Popov and an erection.

Think that might get me somewhere in Tennessee?

It'll be a party in the USA!!!

Lane Kiffin might be able to restore UT back to it's glory days ... but no way in hell can anyone from TENN do enough to negate the disgrace Miley Cyrus's music has brought upon it.

Thanks guys. I got a little choked up because I have such great admiration for Joel and such an appreciation of what it means to accomplish something that three hall of famers did.

Probably not very professional. But we all know that's nothing new for me.

Welcome to the land of shame, excess, who am I gonna sh!t on?,
Clicked on the tab, here I am for the millionth time,
Look to my left, and I see Byk's bio and a derbytrail.com sign.

My tummy's turnin and I feel kind of lovesick,
Haven't posted in a few weeks and I'm nervous,
I see The Fat Man outdoes me in my moratorio.

So I mash my keys down, brush aside my bong,
The butterflies fly away
I'm noddin' my head like "Yeah!",
Movin my ass oh yeah.

Got my paws typin' away, I'm forgettin' my bong,
And now I'm gonna be okay,
Yeah! it's a party in the DT yay!
Yeah! It's a party in the DT yay!

Post a pic of myself in the Pad,
Everybody's lookin at me now,
Like "who's that dude with the Chia beard"?
He can't be mentally sound.

Addict, so hard cuz my porn is free,
VOL JACK - hook me up with a Nashville hottie,
'Cause all I see are Erie ho's
Who don't wanna blow,
It ain't gonna suck itself ya know.

My tummy's turnin' and I'm feeling kinda ho-sick,
Too much pressure & my sack needs drained quick,
That's when the CJ dropped by & I played my favorite tune.

And the 'Pull a Randy Moss' Youtube was on
And the 'Pull a Randy Moss' Youtube was on
And the 'Pull a Randy Moss' Youtube was on

So I pull my pants down, I'm playin my song,
The baby batter flies every which way,
I'm noddin' my head like "Yeah!"
Drained my hog oh yeah.

Got my hands wiped off, I'm forgettin' my bong
And now I'm gonna be okay.
Yeah! it's a party in the DT yay!

Please refer to me as 'Mr. Chicago' now. Thank you

Not sure I can go with Mr. Chicago as even the 10% signer guys who roam the Chicago OTB's are more knowledgeable than you.

How about Mr. Krispy Kreme Donut ? Maybe Mr. What is a Treadmill ?
