Let's try to stop the party of NO!

Many bills have been passed by the House, only to be sitting there waiting to be taken up by the Senate, due to the members of the PARTY OF NO, RepublicanTS! Thank God for members of Congress like Alan Grayson, who are attempting to do something about this, and speaking out against these obstructionists! This is just a partial list of the bills in waiting!

Umm, cloture is a big deal. Dems might want to rethink this. The shoe could be on the other foot sooner than you think.

the republicans discussed this when ran the senate. it was over judicial nominations at the time. remember the nuclear option? the gang of 14? it was a bad idea then. it's a bad idea now.

i have to admit it would have been hilarious had they succeeded and were now dealing with the consequences.

Those were my thoughts exactly when the repubs were threatening that. That was just the kind of arrogance that knocked them out of power. The dems didn't learn beans from that and their arrogance will soon knock them out of power. Abuse of the Interstate Commerce Act, by both parties, for any cause they want, is getting sickening.

The NO people do not care about us period.

Please let all of us think back to Clinton's first term where Billary, I mean Hillary pleged to reform health care, it was her sworn mission to help her husband conquer the mammouth health care inducstry, the evil pharma companies etc. That lasted about 6 months after the inaguration. Why we ask? Money, insurance companies, pharma, fraud by those that would take advantage crushed her and her aspirations. Ligitamate physicans are leaving the profession in mass, medical school classes do not get filled, or are filled with less than the best students. But the person that graduates last in the medical school is still called "Dr"

8 years of Clinton and 8 years of Bush did nothing to reform health care. Americans are not very observant and just see what the talking heads present to them.

Clinton got lucky with the tech and dot.com stocks that pumped up the stock market and gave the illusion that credit would never end and people blinded them selves with buying "stuff". And Then GW sent our bright young men and women to fight for oil to keep all his rich pals in their way of life. The war cost so much, the stocks that were really nothing ie dot.coms that neither made anything real, the techs out sourced many many jobs to off shore interests lost all their value, no money left to lend, but the banks lent it anyway. Now we are in the mess.

Now China has 70% of our debt and our current persident goes over there and asks them to re-rate their currency to help our economy and not to help Iran with its nuclear aspirations. Right, China will be the biggest oil consumer very shortly, they will do nothing to lose any oil form Iran.

Our "representatives" are in it for only one person "themselves". The two party system is totally broken, I thought our government was founded to do the best for the most, not the best just for a chosen few.

Health care reform is one ot the least of our problems.

Sorry, Not a very good train of though for Thanksgiving, but tomorrow it will start all over again. I am worried for my nephews if the ever reinstate the draft.

Clintons' plan would have been 14-15% of our gross economy, and it was ludicrous. I believe the current sham being foisted our Americans is statistically higher..maybe 17%. But you bring up valid observations...one can only hope that some sort of common sense will prevail.
