Going Rogue

Well, I haven't read the book so I won't comment on contents...have seen Sarah on the cover of Newsweek. I may not agree with most of her positions but I can think of many positions I'd love to see her in! Great legs! I watched some talk shows this morning...all ripped her pretty good, both Republicans and Democrats. McCain folks absolutely hate her...for no other reason I think she deserves to be heard! A beautiful woman gets thrust into national politics by an old white guy and when things don't work for him, suddenly she's a diva and a bimbo. I'm not convinced she's a worse candidate than Rudy or Huckleberry...guess time will tell.

In the online introduction to the segment, Oprah's team writes of the United Arab Emirates: "Thanks to this country's rich oil supplies, the government provides its citizens with free water, electricity and health care. The best part? No income tax!"

Uh you are one of the biggest (:D ) supporters of a party that thrives on raising income taxes.

??? Are you talking to me? If so, yes, I am, at least at the ballot box and financially, as the GOP, over the past 40 years, has raised taxes far more than any Democratic administration during the same time period, unfortunately.

What does Oprah getting info wrong about the UAE have to do with Palin's book, the anti-Palin book, and what does Oprah getting info wrong about the UAE have to do with me?

Are you going batty? Why would a quote by Orca be attributed to you?

With Sp being on the show it is topical.

:zz: Now I follow. I think.

I have no idea why Palin agreed to be on Oprah, as yes, Oprah is one of the biggest supporters of Obama. From the preview clips I've seen, Palin mostly looks to be sitting there with this tight, "I hate you" grimace-smile on her face.

But hey - SP drinking game time in 10 minutes! :D :tro:

Wow - new SP drinking game: every time this pathetic creature whines about being a victim of everybody, starting with McCain. Gag.

She's a pretty predictable individual, but very clever. So, even though she's a liar, she's damn good at distracting attention away from it. There's a reason why some people's lies go pretty much unnoticed, or mainly excused away. When people have really good gesture skills, they can get away with a lot more than ordinary people. Believe me, she knows it. Look, she quit her job for no good reason, and stood up there bullshtn about why she was quiting. I know her favorite saying is "Get over it!!" I know exactly why she couldn't answer Katie Couric's question (about what she reads.) For most people involved in politics, that was a very easy question. Not for her. That line of questioning just so happens to be the textbook way to trip up a Narcissist. They have almost zero interest in anything that doesn't involve them directly. Even a Narcissist involved in politics will have huge political blind spots where they know almost nothing. Most people have written that off as being due to her being so far away from the rest of the U.S.(and not being involved in National Politics.) That's a mistake. It doesn't explain being that woefully bad in certain areas of politics. The way to explain it is that she has no interest in things that don't involve her. You remember when she didn't tell her kids that her baby was gunna have Down's Syndrome ? They were left to discover it visually (on their own.) O.K., that's a very specific lack of sensitivity that you just don't see in that many people. These people have very little consideration for how their behaviour affects specific individuals(like their family members.) Not only that, but Narcissists really despise talking about their imperfections. The reason she didn't tell them is very simple (to her.) She didn't want to talk about it. If a narcissist doesn't want to do something, then they just won't do it. They are great at figuring out what the crowd wants. They naturally want to do whatever will please a crowd. In this case, it involved her kids. She's not equipped to care about how something will affect them. Again, if you look at this lady's mistakes, you'll see she makes a certain type of mistake.

The Democrats are just upset that Sarah Palin actually looks like a woman who guys want to be with. Who was the last Democratic candidate you saw that was actually hot?

Doesn't mean Palin is qualified for the presidency -- different issue, but there's little doubt of why the liberals and the press are trying so hard to knock her down -- especially after the election when she really wasn't in the spotlight. The only thing that made David Letterman curtail his Palin jokes was his own scandal.

gales0678 11-17-2009 06:43 AM

if she were presdent right now would she be doing any worse than Obama?

why health care is an important issue and deserves time and energy does it deserve all the time and energey of the domestic issues , the jobs issue gets thrown to the back burner...unemploymnet standing at around 17% and climbing , if that number doesn't start heading south the dems will be out in '10 and obama will go the way of papa bush , 1 and done

joeydb 11-17-2009 06:46 AM

Yeah, aren't you glad we're trying to turn the best medical system in the world into another social security, medicare, or welfare failure? That's a much better time than trying to curb Iran's nuclear ambitions, right? There won't be any problem with that.

I submit to you that those who think the president is a genius are easily impressed, and might consider the reverse possibility. For an illustration of what I mean, watch "Being There" with Peter Sellers.

She did everything she could to try to stay in the spotlight AFTER the election including fueling the whole Letterman controversy. She is a sad caricature and a shining example of why the Republican Party is such a fractured mess.

This is what the Republicans want me to consider as a viable presidential candidate or even simply the face of their party? As an educated professional mother I am supposed to re-embrace my lost conservative ideals through the leadership of this person? Really??

This victimhoom card is being played waaaaaay too early and her spin doctors have got to cool the rhetoric at least for another two years. By the time 2012 rolls around, she will not only come across as dumb but also as a baby.

I'm curious as to what would make our health care system the best in the world. Enlighten me...please.

It was released a couple of weeks ago that if you include those who have given up looking for a job, the figure is around 17%. The unemployment statistic, going back to Carter, always has a time limit (6 months, a year, I forget which). So before you chuckle too much, that number has some validity, given the proper context.
