Sooo who lost money today?

It sounds like lots of people won, did anyone do poorly?

I looked like Trotter from Let It Ride yesterday..... and couldn't hit a thing, other than the 1st BC race today. Luckily I spot played some races from other tracks or would have ended up giving back what I won yesterday.

Tried to beat the last 3 fav's.... horrible move on my part. Also figured Atjebi would hit the board with one, but picked him for the wrong race.

Didn't cash a bet, I lost 20 bucks and most of it was on Hastings Ranch

Pedigree Ann 11-07-2009 08:33 PM

Most of my horses who hit the board were second or third: Gotta Have Her, Bridgetown, Presious Passion (I still love him), etc. And too un-attuned to betting strategies to think of the right way to bet until after the fact. (Bet an exacta with the favorite over your horse as a saver, right?) Then when I nailed a winner in my analysis over at my 'family' chat board, I was too discouraged to bet him (Furthest Land). I need a betting strategy tutor. Any volunteers?

I put a big bet on Gio Ponti to win, so I lost. Should have covered it with an exacta with Zenyatta...but hindsight is 20/20 I guess. Happy for her though.

I needed gio ponti, Rip, or twice over in the classic for nice p4s and big p3 from furthest Land.
Still had my best Cup day ever.

i 0-fered BC weekend. :( :wf :wf :wf

Suffolk Shippers 11-07-2009 11:04 PM

I did. Only played the late four, and didn't have the Ramsey's horse. I have decent scores at the BC once every four years. Still a few more years to go. :)

Bet 1000 bucks and got back 920 so I did not fair well this BC but then again I hardly ever profit on big racing days.

i got crushed today....i thought zenyatta had zero chance....she looked beyond caught in traffic until the final furlong

$1800 tri in last race on Friday saved me for the weekend, because I got beat up yesterday. Really liked Gayego, so that hurt on a lot vertical plays, and was a alive to $3 of pk3's to Mastercraftsman paying $170 each which went down in flames. The dirt mile result really hurt me in verticals as I only used Midshipman and Neko Bay in backups.

Ended up $500 ahead for the weekend, so it was very good overall...still wondering if Biofuel would have gotten up. Time for a long break. Good luck to you guys.

Should've had a significantly better two days, but profitable nonetheless. I laughed like a hardened criminal when the $1 tri in the Classic came back $596. Felt like I was sticking it to Uncle Sam.

My only tout this BC was Cost Of Freedom in the sprint and it looked like it was going to plan until the last 100 yds or so, saying that I wouldn't be unhappy if the BC is run at SA sometime soon again which is something I can't say for all BC's.
