BC day 1: "If _____ wins, I am going to have a good day."

OK, fill in the blank. If you pick some 7-5 shot, you are a chalk eating weasel and are probably mistaken anyway.

I'll go first: "Sara Louise". I expect to get 5-1 on her and can especially leverage that in multi-race bets, because many people are only going 1 or 2 deep here.

if cloudys knight wins today or quality road wins tommorrow, i will have a good weekend. no chalk eater here.

Rudeboyelvis 11-06-2009 07:01 AM

I agree with Cloudy's Knight - am using and to see one of my all time favorite Tampa jockeys (and only the 2nd female, the first being Julie Crone) win a BC race would make my weekend.

She Be Wild in the Juvy Fillies today or Einstein in the Classic tomorrow.

Slewbopper 11-06-2009 07:18 AM

If Desert Code wins I am going to have a good day. He won this race last year at 36/1 and is coming into this race with an identical uninspiring prep in the Morvich at OSA

Coolest barn in the NATION and the jock is too. No way Jose. Save your money. Things just fell apart last year and Mig looked up and found the wire.

Despite the Moniker.....

If Elusive Galaxy or Rose Catherine can outrun Lillie Langtry, I have a good day.

Of course, every diet needs a LITTLE chalk, so Ventura over Informed Decision should be a solid exacta play....

Good luck everyone!!!

arizonadave 11-06-2009 08:12 AM

if La Nez wins the 4th at SA on friday. horse has done nothing wrong and trainer is on fire at SA. the price will be good.

Zilva and Life Is Sweet. Won't complain if Evita Argentina or Silver Swallow clunks up for second or third.

mclem0822 11-06-2009 08:18 AM

Tapitsfly

I agree...there is just not the kind of pace in this lineup that was in here last year. I would avoid all the closers in here, most notably Diamondrella who may go off favored in here. That said, Desert Code isnt really a closer. He has only closed once in his life and it just happened to be last year. I dont see lightning striking twice.

Cocoa Beach

opusone 11-06-2009 08:40 AM

Evita Argentina

3kings 11-06-2009 08:44 AM

Beautician and Rainbow View (who I think will go off much higher than 6-1 unless the Euro's are winning every race).

Mike 11-06-2009 08:46 AM

Let me change the fun a bit by saying: If RadioHead and Vale of York are the top two in the Juvenile on Saturday, I'll have a nice exacta box payoff:)

hockey2315 11-06-2009 08:47 AM

If Tapitsfly isn't bet as hard as I'm afraid she will be then I'll have a good day.

Good point. Early results(the Marathon is the 1st BC race:( ) will obviously effect the betting.

A bunch of USA upsets today would bring better rewards on the Euro's tomorrow
