Steve, What did that Mott horse get who broke the Belmont track record? I think it was Birdrun. Also the Mott filly who won the overnight stake that Bon Jovi Girl finished last in. I think shes decent.

The track was blazing fast that day.... But could Birdrun be ok?

His prior win was a conditioned (N2L) claimer at Saratoga. He could be useful but it's hard to see him as a serious stakes horse.

Birdrun actually broke his maiden at Saratoga on opening Friday in a 35k maiden claimer that was taken off the turf. He came back to run 2nd to Lowther Street in a N1X then narrowly lost to Ruffino in a starter allowance.

I think the track helped him mightily last week and I doubt he'll ever run near a 99 Beyer figure again.
