Conservative vs Liberal

Conservative vs Liberal

If a conservative doesn’t like guns, he doesn`t buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he feels that no one should have one.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat.
If a liberal is, he wants to ban all meat products for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.
A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a liberal is homosexual, he loudly demands legislated respect .

If a black man or Hispanic are conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.
Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God or religion silenced.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.

A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

very generalizing and alot of BS in that post, some truths though.

Pretty much right on down the line.

Freakin liberals, trying to take my guns away!

I freakin hate them! If they try to take my guns away, why I'll, I'll, I'll show them!

Oh wait. Wasn't it Richard Nixon who started the whole gun control movement in this country?

Derp!

Stick to training Cannonball.

I won't even get into how ridiculous the "legislated respect" thing is, wanting equality and legislating respect are two different things. Last I checked, you guys are still free to hate black people, just not free to discriminate against them. I think the last nine months have more than ably proven that not "respecting" people is certainly still lawful. Being disingenuous is obviously not a concern for the author of this soon-to-be web classic.

But more importantly, is there a big nationwide, liberal push to ban the consumption of meat that I don't know about?

Looks like I really need to catch up on my talking points.

.

so only conservatives hate black people......bit of a stretch, even for you,Bri!

All one has to do is keep their eyes and ears open for any period of time and they will see that their is in fact a great bit of truth to this "chain letter".

Granted not every conservative and liberal fits this mold 100%, but if you keep your eyes and ears open you will see.

Typical crap that you all get sucked into....the old divide and conquer at work. The powers that be will always be, especially as they keep the working class fighting amongst themselves over ideals.
The problem isn't conservative v. liberal.....it's upper class v. po' folks.
And just because you may be in a higher bracket than your mom & dad were, doesn't make you upper class.;)

I'm very po folk trying to better myself and conservative. I look for no hand outs but rather I choose to take responsibility for my actions, right or wrong, and better myself however small it may be each day by doing the next right thing. I want no hand out but rather I want to know I did it on my own and that way at the end of the day I can look myself in the mirror and feel damn good about who I am, today.

Thats not the liberal way.

steve 10-13-2009 09:21 PM

conservatives---responsible----but I thought you did not like taxes?

Yeah, that's right. The past has no meaning at all.

The fact that the people behind Nixon are the same people behind both modern day democrats and republicans probably has been lost on you.

In case you haven't figured it out, the only difference between the two parties, in any meaningful way, is spelling.

However, the one drug that kills the most people (alcohol) is considered by the majority of Conservatives to be o.k. Mormons are the major exception (at least they're consistent, and don't hypocritically ignore a drug.)

Yeah yeah yeah. I know its a conspiracy.

Nixon's view on gun control is very relevant.
