A great bit of placing
 

The Prix De La Foret, is sometime thought of as a 'nothing' sort of a race but the fact is that it's still a Gr1 worth a fair amount of money.

Just thought I'd have a look through the card to see which Group 3 horses were in there aiming the get the elusive group 1 win for connections (even though they would never pick up a genuine Gr1). As I quickly scrolled down, the named Cat Junior and Border Patrol seemed to stick out as two of the liklier ones (being Genuine Gr2 horses).

Then to my disbelief...... the word Goldikova is written........

She will win this with her hind legs tied together, blindfolded and put into the gates backwards.

What a great piece of placing by connections. An easy prep run for better things, but still gets another Gr1 victory to her name.

Wow. Not exactly the result I expected. :eek:

No nor me, what happened?

I fully expected her to win very easil, given the form she has been showing most of the year.

I'm glad I wasn't at home, otherwise I'd now be poor
