This is ingenius. A BLOG from a CONSERVATIVE publication featuring a poll from a CONSERVATIVE think tank.

Sorry Timmi.

Okay, the poll and the article were both objective and fair. :wf

i'm not surprised that it's gone that low. also, it says the same thing i've seen from other publications-that the dems fear significant losses in the mid terms. as for it being right wing, etc etc, is the info correct or incorrect? i'd imagine the latter.

i guess i worded it improperly. i wrote in regards to dala only talking about a perceived slant from the article writers, and wondered if she thought the info was correct or incorrect-that i thought she'd say the latter, altho all she did mentioned was bias. i did write that i believe that the numbers are that low, that i believed it...

Zig,

Who is Pew going to interview for these polls? We are talking about Pew. Come on. Thats akin to a poll taken by peta on the cruelty of horse racing. Who are they going to ask?

But lets just say the poll "honest" and it was an accurate measure...it would not surprise me. Governments generally arent popular during serious recessions.

that's true. but their approval rating has been low for a few years now, same as the president.

what i don't like about most poll takers is how they word questions-it usually isn't a yes or no type question, and most people probably don't actually like either answer.

The Hill is a conservative publication? Since when? They have the DailyKOS guy as a blogger too. Get a grip. You have made a big deal out of the messenger as usual when the polls are obviously all saying the same things. Yah Congress is really popular, the pollsters are just making it up.

Cannon Shell 09-03-2009 07:30 AM

Here is one of the Hill's signature bloggers/columnists
http://thehill.com/opinion/columnists/markos-moulitas

Would a conservative site give this guy a forum?

LOL. are you joking, purposely misleading or hopelessly uninformed? The Hill is and always has been conservative.

Fox has colmes. Does that mean they arent conservative either? Please.

Ben Goddard? Do I have to go through every person on there?

Please give me a break. Every site or paper cant possibly be black or white like you make them out to be. There is an awful lot of GOP bashing on that site also. Because it's focus is on business doesnt mean what it reports isnt fair or true. Is there ANY paper or website that has a business focus that isnt considered conservative by you? If the answer is no then are we to just dismiss all of them out of hand?

Here are ALL the polls for you

Newest columnist on The Hill - Lanny Davis
http://thehill.com/opinion/columnist...-love-politics

Here is an exerpt from his introduction column

"First, I am a liberal Democrat, and a pretty partisan one at that. I have only voted for a Republican once in my life — and that was for a Republican U.S. Senate candidate who was pro-choice running against a pro-life Democrat."

This is why i rarely comment in this section anymore. If you say The Hill doesnt have a conservative slant, then we will just have to disagree and I will just have to wonder what you consider "conservative". Is Pew conservative??????

Does that mean there is never GOP criticism? No, of course not. At the same time, opinions and even "news" is slanted towards conservative ideology. Of course, im not going to try to sit here and pull up the huffington post polls and articles and claim they arent liberal because they entertain some conservative views. Is msnbc not foxnews for liberals?

You make these assertions but wont offer up any backing for those assertions. Show me a "slanted story"? I showed at three columnists that regularly write for the site that are unabashed liberals including one who is about as far radical left as you can be. The newest guy hired is very liberal.

Comparing the Hill to Huffington or Fox or MSNBC is totally offbase.

And explain to me the methodology that would consider Pew's research to be partisan? If they are so partisan then why are their polls so wodely covered and accepted by left leaning news organizations?
