D'Funnybone

Is a freak. Was that as impressive statistically as it looked visually?

It's 6.5f's at Saratoga, I assume the time is wrong, the timer went on the fritz, and the Pace Fig and BSF will be adjusted 4 or 5 times.lol

The colt looked great although I am not sure that many from that field will be headed for significant future success. Calascibetta to Dutrow is certainly a postive move. Imagine the shock this colt had when 4 people in white can rushing towards him with his meds?? lol

There is a very long runup to the start at 6.5f at Saratoga. They go 56 feet before the start so they are at full tilt when they trip the timer.

This colt looked very sharp. Rumor is that IEAH is already poised to get involved with this colt.

No, he ran against a bunch of mules. The Adirondack field was far better.

What figure did you get for it?

That was a pretty suspect field that he beat yesterday. Isn't this horse more likely to be the next This One's For Phil than the next Big Brown?

King Glorious 08-21-2009 08:58 AM

I know this thread is about D'Funnybone but I just think King Glorious was the fastest miler I've ever seen and I thought we should talk about him since there are no other threads talking about him.

An in-form King Glorious wouldn't have won this past weekend's Longacres Mile, much less any race featuring contemporaries Simply Majestic or Judge Angelucci.

He was given a 90 BSF for the effort.
