AARP Confirms Obama lied

And about seniors? Shameful

This is getting deeper and deeper

Here's an article on it from a far more liberal site:

That's almost funny. Get caught in a lie and just say he mispoke. Actually send the talking head to say it.

Obama said at the town hall that "we have the AARP onboard because they know this is a good deal for our seniors." He added, "AARP would not be endorsing a bill if it was undermining Medicare."

AARP's chief operating officer Tom Nelson quickly fired back, saying, "indications that we have endorsed any of the major health care reform bills currently under consideration in Congress are inaccurate."

SCUDSBROTHER 08-12-2009 02:51 PM

Starting to feel like you guys are soon gunna have this guy dead on a slab. Do they offer odds on this somewhere?

dellinger63 08-12-2009 02:56 PM

using Obama logic wouldn't the conclusion be AARP feels the plan WILL UNDERMINE Medicare and that is why they are NOT endorsing it? That's what I mean about deeper and deeper.

he's looking like a 1 termer scuds , health care is not the priority right now

he was left a mess and the people want him to clean it up , they don't want him to focus on health care , he needs to get people back to work ....this does not do that

and Scuds just think of all the gas that's going to be used going to and coming from Dr.'s appointments when patients would have just stayed home if they weren't covered.

Meant as a joke people!!!

after 8 years of BUSH, how do you MOFO's have the balls to criticize this dude 8 months into it? I know, he's had his turn, it's now yours again. The REPUBS can do better.

I'd be embarrassed if I were a Republican. Then again, the Republican mindset is on display here.

Did he not say (during the campaign) that he was going to do this? The White Trash, the selfish, etc. all got the chance to vote against it. That didn't work. So they make signs, and harass loudly. The majority of "The People" voted for the guy who said he was gunna reform health care. Your efforts at distortion are amazing, but health care will get done. You've ignored this problem for too long. Many, many people have gone bankrupt simply because they had a baby that was very sick, and needed a lot of care. That can't be ignored any longer. The self-centered, the ignorant White Trash, etc. did not convince the rest of Americans to vote against the health-care reformer. You couldn't even get the majority of the simple thinkers of fkn Indiana to vote against him. The majority voted for the health-care reformer. The losers are loud, and threatening. That doesn't mean that "the people" didn't vote for the health-care reformer. Just means the losers are loud and quite Machiavellian. These people sound like tapes of Nixon talking to his buddies.

if the commander in chief does not creat jobs , even if healtcare passes , he will be gone in 4 yrs - as simple as the sun rising in the east

Then you probably don't want to see this:

http://www.538host.com/payroll.PNG

With that trend we are very close to returning to no net job loss and then shortly after a return to net job gains. By 2012 this recession will be long over.

If health care gets done, then so be it (4 n' out.)

for his sake it better be otherwise he gone , 1 term and out

don't forget the tax hikes that are coming in '11 or as my liberal aunt talks about the rates going back to where they were under clinton - either way taxes will be going up heavy in '11 on all forms of income and capital , not something that helps to add jobs

Bush would have said "Misspeaked"!

The Indomitable DrugS 08-12-2009 07:38 PM

In my humble opinion,

Unless the Democrat-supported health care plan becomes law the nation will go bankrupt and that the only way to avoid that fate is for the government to spend more money.

He should have.

But... as I've come to know... the bigger the dog the harder the bite!

SOREHOOF 08-12-2009 07:40 PM

I think "misspoken" is correct, but the Administration is trying to connect with what they think is the average Joe. Good luck with that.
