The 3rd CD night

I attended the 3rd racing night at CD last night. A couple of opinions/observations:

- the track was lit very well and it was quite fun to see and be there
- a decent card but 3 maiden races in a row was a bit much
-I'd love to claim a horse like Ready's Rocket
-lot's of females dressed very well, and skanks dressed even better
-the place was packed, especially the paddock area. Made me realize I don't need to go to the Derby with 100k more people
- the price gouge for parking and entry was pathetic and shameful.

All in all it was a worthwhile adventure and I love vacations where I leave with more cash than I arrived with

were you fortunate to take advantage of the photo finish being down?
(deadheats declared for 7th and 9th)

as great as the spike in on track attendance was, I think the possibilities with prime time racing are even greater for a new broadcast on a basic cable channel.

There is a reason why most of the big sports games are during prime time. Why does horse racing usually occure during the day when many people are working?

Is this a serious question?

I went to the second night racing, and while admission was more, I thought they more than made up for it with decent priced concessions. It really wouldn't have surprised me if they tried to pull off Derby/BC prices for them.

One observation I had was that no one had a program or Form yet the lines at the window were long. Phil said they were probably betting jockeys which was pretty funny cause the next time I got in line some guy asked me what I was betting and I said the horse and he said "what jockey?" :D

I was there last night, had a blast, hung out mostly in the paddock area....trying to get a bet on the 1st level was terrible but if you went up to the second floor there were no lines with a couple minutes before post....Lots of people in their 20's mostly drinking didn't look like they were betting because of the lack of programs I saw them with. Overall I really enjoyed the atmosphere and there was plenty of great tail running around there. Hope they decide to continue night racing.
