It's really become a pretty bad race of late. If anyone can name the top three in 2006 or 2008 without cheating I will be incredibly impressed.

Casino Drive and Mint Lane finished 1-2, but as for the show horse and 2006, I have no clue.

You're thinking the Peter Pan.

Easily confused, especially since Mint Lane ran in both.

Mint Lane won at odds on last year...In '06 Strong Contender won and Da Stoops came in from out west but not sure if he hit the board or not.

Correct on the winners, Da Stoops was third in '06.

Last years field was really weak so forgetting the others isn't bugging me but forgetting the place horse in '06 is. Keyed Entry finished last after setting the pace so it must have been a price in 2nd who sucked up late. Now im about to cheat and look it up...

It is a weak field, and so too is the Suburban but both are good betting races and thats all that really counts. If you want quality, turn on Wimbledon and watch what promises to be a historic final on Sunday morning (Fed & Murray).

The Suburban can't possibly be as speed laden as it looks on paper, can it?

I dont have the PPs, just going off of memory, but doesnt the Cool Coal Man and Samhoon look like the controlling speeds?

Interesting Samhoon is entered here as well as that race on Friday against Discreet Traseure for 1/4 the money, where he is not up to be claimed.

My gut tells me Samhoon will try the Suburban, making that race on Friday very unbettable.

Finallymadeit is a front-runner, It's a Bird is usually close to the pace, Rising Moon has been close in his last two, Real Merchant battled on the lead in his last but usually isn't as close, Cool Coal Man is a speed horse, and Samhoon is a speed/presser type.

declansharbor 07-01-2009 02:48 PM

Anyone think that Kensei will appreciate the added ground?

On another note, I was watching the replay of the Woody Stephens last night and had to rewind (many times) the part when they were coming off of the turn onto the straight. It looked like Munnings was going to drop to the tail of the pack, until he SHOT through the opening hole. A SERIOUS move. Any idea what he'll go off as in the Tom Fool?

Thanks- I completely overlooked Finallymadeit. He will be on the lead, like he always is. I think you'll see Rising Moon take back in this spot.

My guess is Munnings will be the second choice behind Fabulosu Strike, probably around 5/2-3/1. Driven by Success may be slightly overlooked as he has been in his last 2 races.

eajinabi 07-01-2009 06:22 PM

I thought Fluke is running in the suburban

Indian Charlie 07-01-2009 06:41 PM

It's probably getting old by now, but here goes.

Did Finallymadeit have a prep race for the Suburban?
