soft, off 5,6

As many have said, NYRA website is always a good place to check

Thanks. Thought it was 11 am before they posted conditions. Andy must have instigated a change.

Spoke with Scott and he will scratch if the race comes off. He said the racing office is prettty good about rewritting races that come off the turf. Hopefully it stops raining soon!

There's the TURF COURSE UPDATE LINK prominently displayed on the NYRA main page. Early on/off decision typically posted by 7:30a.

I guess you should have made that thread a " sticky. "

I would have posted earlier but I was too busy trying to figure out how Vic should call Zenyatta's impending defeat later today.

The name of the horse that's going to beat her is exciting in itself.

This is still interesting. There's always trying to figure out the night before WHICH races NYRA is going to take off the turf (and which will remain on). And, with so much free time on my hands, what with playing 6 or 7 tracks a day, I just handicap them all.

that thread would have gotten more traction here.

Thats a pretty "mush" thing to do before a race.

They are off the turf and on the cement.

Maidens just went 6f in 1:08 and change

It is incredible that the 2 held on with those fractions and final time, the only explanation I have is that the track is heavily favoring speed right now.

In defense of the people that keep asking about turf conditions, some work computers will block NYRA, and not DT (at least not yet :D )
