Tom, on my first trip to Toga Mrs. Whitney was having health problems and I couldn't understand why everyone was so concerned whether she would make an appearance at her yearly Ball. She did and it was on the front page Sunday morning. Now I know why.

Very nice story, thanks for posting MMSC.

She isn't the only one doing something like this though, there are many, and others that are planning it, just figuring out the proper channels

Very nice story, thanks.

I worry about our Dee Tee horses.

Huh? I hardly see Steve, Chuck, Gary or the other trainer being the type to not look out for the horse(s) after retirement.

Either do I, when they are under our care.

But I still worry about them. What about when they can't race any longer, can't be bred, are claimed or sold away from us?

Edit: to make it PERFECTLY CLEAR, I am worried about them if ever, someday, they are not in our care!

Indian Charlie 06-11-2009 01:48 PM

Someone should send that to Ernie P.

Oh My God, just noticed that avatar....:D :p

Poor Scavs he just makes the rounds in horsey.... uhhhh.... porn sites.

But to the article yes very nice and uplifting to read things like this, especially when today's PETA e-mail is front page stories on horse slaughter.
Yes I subscribed to PETA, I don't belong and don't believe in their philosophy of animal "rights" I believe in animal welfare, but I like to see what the peta whackos are up to. Guess it's all post TC for them to grab onto.

I think I need to activate the ability to see avatars given the recent out of controlness :)

Let's just say that, looking at where you are standing compared to the action, you really should have your breeding shed safety helmet on ;)

Exactly babe.

It is possible it is coming out of retirement for Million Day. Pending arrangements :)

Ha, we'd match then! Only my hat has a black and white polka dot band. :D

My skin is really white too.

Loved that article. Jay Hovdey did a great job and someone needs to set up a Pete Tardy page on Facebook so I can officially "Become a fan." If I ever get discouraged about things, it's great to read about people like Pete and Marylou.

I liked that story too. I also wish that Birdstone's siblings fared better at the track, but I guess Birdstone was the lucky one out of the family.
