Obama's Minister Speaks Up and Against Jews

OMG!!! Real 'Christain Like' there Reverend NOT

Wright told the Daily Press he had not talked with Obama since he entered the White House.

"Them Jews aren't going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter, that he'll talk to me in five years when he's a lame duck, or in eight years when he's out of office," Wright was quoted as saying in an article posted Wednesday.

"They will not let him to talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is. ... I said from the beginning: He's a politician; I'm a pastor. He's got to do what politicians do," he said.

Gee, Rev - maybe O just decided that, like Rush Limbaugh, you've changed and gotten worse over the years; and he left you when you descended into complete idiocy and crazyness.

Rahm vs Rev, I choose Rahm by a landslide! Go Rahm! And I'd pay to see that one

Oh Riot!! while I could care less about Rev Wright or his relationship with Obama (I dont think its a big deal... I'm sure ministers and pastors say things EVERY sunday that most of their church goers dont agree with). I think it was made into a big deal over nothing important, if I know someone who says racist things, does that make me a racist? Heck no...

But saying "and he left you when you descended into complete idiocy and crazyness." is just funny. The only reason Obama left him is because of the media and political pressure and fear that it would cost him the election.

Rev Wright preached the same way his whole career... even according to him!! He says, not in this article but in the same interview (lots of quotes missing in this brief article) that he preached the same way the 20 years Obama was there and has been the same man the past 50 years.

Like I said, I could care less about their relationship and dont think its a big deal, but to say "and he left you when you descended into complete idiocy and crazyness. is just laughable, cause its not like the Rev all of the sudden changed!

Riot 06-10-2009 04:35 PM

Other people (during the past two years that this has been discussed) have said Wright has definitely changed and worsened over the years. Obama at that time (campaign trail) said he'd not heard Wright preach like that when he was there. Others have supported that Wright has changed, others have denied it. People (blogs) have lied and posted that Obama was in Wright's church hearing sermons at times when Obama was publically elsewhere on the campaign trail.

That Rev Wright gets any press at all, and the "his father was a Muslim!" keeps getting brought up in public is beyond absurd at this point, IMO.

And I lived through the 1968 Democratic convention in Chicago, Nixon and Watergate, Walter Mondale - erase that, I was thinking of Spiro Agnew - sorry Walter! - let alone Bill and Monica and cigars - so I think I have plenty of political cynicism to flavor my viewpoints :D

Antitrust32 06-10-2009 04:45 PM

Bill and Monica was a big deal because Bill lied under oath. That is bad.. even if you are cheating on your wife and banging an intern with a cigar, you should NEVER lie under oath, let alone when you are the POTUS.

That and POTUS, is supposed to be a role model for kids, and should show some morality for that point alone.. that whole thing wasnt exactly a great part in American history.

Also, any boss or CEO who gets caught doing interesting things with a cigar to their employee or secretary... in his office of all places... is going to get the boot. Why shouldnt the POTUS be held to the same standards?

But with all that said, it was pretty bad ass for our Pres to get some head in the Oval Office of the United States by some nasty, skanky intern.... and I dont blame him with that UgLy wife of his either..

Spoken by a true Republican. You never were never will be....But you do give me a chuckle kind of like a clown does..a democratic wolf in sheep's clothing if you will.

PS I'm not afraid of clowns and grew up in the Gacy years w/blond hair as a teenager living within 20 miles of his crawlspace. Also admit Obama had nothing to do with Ayers, Rezko and the rest of the bunch. LOL

and

According to the Associated Press, the former pastor of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ said his one-time parishioner and mentee, Barack Obama, has made some mistakes, but he's "like my child," and he'll always love the president.

Really, the personal attacks aren't necessary. Shall I take back decades of voting GOP? Including my two votes for Bush 44?

So what?

If a crazed whackjob idolizes Newt Gingrich, and Gingrich went to church with him, sat next to him for years, and the crazy spews religiously-oriented white supremicist crap in public and is arrested "doing Newt's work" (threatening folks with a gun) - in your world that associates Gingrich with the crazy?

I agree with you that if you know a person who says racist things that doesn't make you a racist. However, simply knowing a person who is a racist is quite different from going out of your way to attend the speeches of a person who makes racist comments. Obama could have attented any church he wanted, yet he chose Pastor Wright's church. I would have to assume that Obama liked Wright's sermons. If he didn't, why would he attend that church.

So I do think the Pastor Wright controversy was a legitimate issue for people to be concerned with. I go to church sometimes and I can tell you that the pastor is extremely important to me. I will not go to a church with a pastor of questionable integrity and questionable beliefs. If I heard a pastor make anti-semetic remarks I would leave that church immediately.

Yes!! If Newt's Mininister is out spewing white supremicist crap he is associated with Newt.

There seems to be a pattern developing w/high profile black ministers being anti semitic as Revs Sharpton and Jackson have also been guilty but for some reason given a pass by the media after a few blurbs. Some white minister has an affair (forbid it be a homosexual) and his career is over. He steps down from his position as head of the church for the good of the church. Jesse Sr.? He becomes a baby-daddy in his 60's and all is good. Only reason he has been quiet as of late is for his son's who must both go to sleep at night not knowing whether the Feds will come knocking Blago style in the morning.

More like if some white Pastor has a homosexual affair, or molests young boys, they just get moved from their Catholic church to other Churches where they can continue to abuse. And everyone above this person (who are closer to God) just cover up... for the good of the church.

i guess you saw the report that came out about the roman catholic church in ireland? that was absolutely horrendous, with abuses going on for decades. the church still absolutely refuses to name even one perpetrator. if anything indicates how the roman catholic church feels and operates, it would be that.

It is no coincidence that we are witnessing this level of hatred toward Jews as President Barack Obama positions America against the Jewish state.
Just days ago Obama traveled to Cairo, Egypt. It was his second trip in a short time to visit Muslim countries. He sent a clear message by not visiting Israel.

But this was code.

In Cairo, Obama said things that pose a grave danger to Jews in Israel, in America and everywhere.

While Obama acknowledged that “six million Jews were killed — more than the entire Jewish population of Israel today” — his discussion about the Holocaust was followed by this statement: “On the other hand, it is also undeniable that the Palestinian people — Muslims and Christians — have suffered in pursuit of a homeland.”

“On the other hand . . . ”?

Obama’s clever construct comparing the mass genocide of six million Jews to the Palestinian struggle will not be lost on the estimated 100 million Muslims who tuned into to hear him.

The immediate danger posed by Obama’s speech is in its incredible re-writing of the history of Jews, Christians and Muslims from Medieval times to the present.

For centuries, black people in America suffered the lash of the whip as slaves and the humiliation of segregation,” Obama told his audience, citing a litany of American shortcomings. He failed to mention that Arab Muslims were the greatest slave traders in the history of humanity.

Rabbi Dr. Morton H. Pomerantz is a member of the Reform movement of Judaism and serves as a chaplain for the State of New York. A former Navy and Marine Corps officer and chaplain, he has also served as deputy national chaplain for the Jewish War Veterans of the United States.
