3YO's alive and well again

Suddenly the crop is alive and well again...

Rachel Alexandra
Mine That Bird
Summer Bird
Dunkirk
Quality Road on the rebound
Charitable Man did not disgrace
Big Drama
Munnings
Musket Man... useful, fun horse
Papa Clem... hard knocker
Pioneerof the Nile... one for the west coast

It's a shame about The Pamplemousse and I Want Revenge, they'd make it that much better.

Should be a fun summer.

Agreed. Looking forward to it!

I have a strong feeling you'll be calling Summer Bird's name in the Super Derby.

Interesting you mention The Pamplemousse, other than the filly I still haven't seen a 3 yr old better than him this year and that even includes my obvious favorite 3 year old at the moment. Now he just has to prove it on dirt and or turf.

He's coming back into town early next week, let's hope so. I think we could maybe land a few more too... bigger purse, good timing off the Haskell... a lot of the horses this year are mid-west runners versus purse east coasters.

It's funny... Summer Bird won the Belmont, and about 12 minutes later Tim Ice and Dr. J had a horse going to the gate for our final race. He went too fast early and faded late. It's a great game.

i'd settle for him coming back the same from his injury.

I think we will be lucky to see him come back and if he does it will most likely be awhile. He bowed a tendon and depending on the severity of it (course a bow is a bow..) it may be at least a year before he can even attempt a comeback.

I'm with both you ladies, hope he is back racing and at 100% when he does. :)

MajorMotionPicture has been working out lately as well.

Don't speak too soon. Gotta wait and see which ones will be knocked out from the Belmont and won't run again or only run once more. Pioneerof the Nile and Papa Clem will likely be buried back in CA on the fake tracks again. Who knows when we'll see Quality Road again? Summer Bird ran a nice race yesterday but as far as I'm concerned, he's another Jazil. I really like Musket Man and I have a lot more respect for MTB and of course, Rachel is the queen. I just don't think we'll get many matchups of the top horses in the crop because there are way too many options out there.

lol. Sorry. I like to think of it as being a realist. Or just very skeptical. I'd love it if the are all legit horses and match up several times over the summer and into the fall. I just look at recent history and don't expect it.

It would be cool if one of the Birdstones could win the Travers this year
