Fabulous Strike

What a performance that just was... looked like he was going to just take the race without much resistance only to get pushed by the runaway speed of Sixthirteen. To survive that, and still hold on to run a good time... very solid.

I hope they keep him at 6 panels now.

In the words of the brilliant Colin Cowherd...

Reeee-diculous!

That horse is insane. Great stuff there, especially in High Def.

Gauchos0522 06-06-2009 01:43 PM

He really is a fun horse to watch when he's at his best going 6 panels. Dazzling performance. It's ashame he seemed to despise the synthetics last year at the BC.

In the words of the great Borat:

"Very Nice"

Coach Pants 06-06-2009 01:58 PM

In the timeless mumble of Karl Childers:

"mmhmm"

Thanks to synthetics, the best sprinter in the country has a 0% chance to win.

That was a Groovy performance.

Best performance of the day. Felt bad for him when Sixthirteen was killing his chances but somehow he just kept on going. Tough dude.

What is the Belmont record for 6F's? It usually is in the DRF but didn't see it today.

1:07 3/5, he was but a tick off of it. What a beast. Loved this one for a long time, since his Belmont debut in a listed stake.

I think Desert Key just finished.......my stupidity money holding him down today. Like he had a chance of any kind against FS on that track......gotta stop smoking that Tai stick weed before making real money bets.

Benny didn't do badly, except for me.

CSC 06-07-2009 10:08 AM

Impressive but given the times yielded during the day, I suspect his beyer won't be a leap off of the page beyer. Benny The Bull ran 1:08 off of the layoff and even Silver Edition ran in the 1:08's.

Yeah but regardless of the Beyer, which you're right will likely be on the charts versus off, to make the lead, get pushed by runaway speed and then hold on throughout is cool. Benny The Bull was off the layoff, so if he were a bit more seasoned perhas he runs him down.

I just can't take anything away from Fabulous Strike yesterday.

FAb Strike: 111
Munnings: 110, and his 101 at CD was changed to a 108.
Just Ben: 109

It's unfortunate the BC is being held on poly 2 years in a row(for FB), I would be surprised he will be in it with last yrs result in mind.

sumitas 06-07-2009 12:06 PM

It is was it is . FS is the best sprinter on dirt since Lost In The Fog.

cakes44 06-07-2009 12:17 PM

Bordonaro was better than Lost in the Fog for cripes sake.

Indian Charlie 06-07-2009 07:38 PM

midnight lute was better than both. or all 3.
