Gander/ I was wrong

EC has not won at 1 1/2 mile. He has raced at that distance only 2 times, both as a 3YO. Finished 2nd by a head to Shakespeare in last years Hirsch and then 5th at the BC. I think he is a TONS better horse this year vs. last.

He looked awfully good winning at 1 3/8 at the UN, and was pulling away from Cacique at the wire, but as you and I talked about last night, this looks to be a completely different race, pace wise. I would still like to see Pletcher keep him for the Sword, even if he loses, just to keep him at that same distance for the next two (Hirsch and BC).

So do I Kev. So do I. But I still think he is a great bet against at this distance on Saturday. Hes going to be foreced to be closer than he wants to be but Dutrow running the wicked fast Wild Desert certainly helps his chances in my opinion.

I hope he stays and runs at Saratoga so I can take some nice pictures for you. ;)
