Players Championship

Scuds...your boy Chopra found his putting stroke today. Now if he can just find a bigger shirt to hide those hideous man tits.

Don't trust this guy either. This a 5th major? No, I don't trust him. If this was Norleans or Reno, then maybe.

Tiger.

Even when he is bad, he is good.
He is spraying the ball all over everywhere
just to prove he can make a save from any
position? They showed a series of saves that
were ungodly.

Then I am watching and...

He was right next to a tree. No shot right handed.
He goes left handed and turns the club upside down
to where the end the head of the iron is touching
the ground. Strikes the ball perfectly cleanly out
into the fairway.

Honestly kev or anyone, does he
actually practice this. I next expect he will grab the head
of a driver and hit the ball with the grip.

Really not that difficult of a shot. Try it.

That shot is in Bigs' bag. I get plenty of opportunities to practice it. :o

I used it successfully 2 weeks ago (would have had to stand in a lake to hit it right-handed).

GPK 05-10-2009 08:44 AM

I gotta give Tiger credit, that left handed form was pretty solid.

I can see hitting it right handed being difficult,
but the way the club impacted the ball. I think
I could hit it right handed with the back of the clubface
but not like this...

He struck the ball with the proper side of the clubface,
by holding the clubface in this awkard position. Seems
like it would twist as one swung. How do you grip it hard
enough and keep the clubface position maintained?

I'm not sure if Tiger will win today, but will predict Cejka will fold to open it up for someone to win. Players playing with Tiger in the last group ususally have an abysmal day.

GPK 05-10-2009 09:42 AM

Should be an interesting final round today. Cjeka winning it would make a good story.

I will also be pulling hard for my girl Lindsey to win her first tournament back home in Williamsburg today. I hope she buries Kerr's ass.

You can hit a ball like this Kev?

mclem0822 05-10-2009 01:58 PM

Tiger is struggling thus far, about to drop a shot. But it is early, his iron shots have been really poor.

I'm impressed. Always let the viewer connect the lines themselves. They can't resist it.

Stenson playing a different golf course today than the rest of those guys. Love to watch clutch performances like this.

CSC 05-10-2009 05:06 PM

I always thought Stenson was one of the most talented unknown PGA golfers playing today, if only he was more exciting to watch. Not much color to him.

I really wanted to know.
One completely changes the center of mass of the
clubhead on the swing if the club is held like this.
This provides a diff. torque
on the swing. Its not gonna feel the same, swinging it.
Like I said I would hit myself in the nuts... hell I would
whiff. I had never seen anyone strike the ball with
the clubhead in the position I illustrated. So I will illustrate again
with significant color added.

This Players Championship was a zzzzz.......If Tiger or Phil are not in contention, you might as well take a nap.
