My girlfriend called me this afternoon. Told me to bet the 2 and the 8. $10 a piece.

Did I do it? No

Do I owe her over $500?

lol i'm a caps fan, and of course a huge ovechkin fan. so, the other day, i thought hey-who got the 8 hole? maybe i'll pick him. then i saw it was mine that bird, and said no freakin way.

that's very funny. i have them up off and on all year. i took them down to put up the derby trophy. been a fan for 30-odd years.
and i was ticked about missing most of the game today. was on call and had to drive a three hour round trip for a ten minute fix. had to listen on the radio.

Leave now, she will hold this against you for the rest of your life. Always making you feel/look like a schmuck in front of family and friends, because you (Mr. Horseracing know it all) didn't want to waste the 20 bucks on what his girlfriend (who probably doesn't know the difference between a filly and a colt) wanted a bet a 19-1 and a hopeless 50-1 shot (she probably like the name or something). And of course $103.20 later we know what the story is.
