ESPN piece on being a track vet

Interesting piece on espn.com about the life of a track vet, in this case, the one at the Fairgrounds. Has a little of everything in it. Worthwhile read if you have the time to fully read it.

Read that this morning...it was a great read, but was kind of a sad piece.

Especially because the horse that's central to the story is trained by the same guy who trained one of my favorite horses, Dictina Too, when she broke down in late March there too.

Obviously, somebody has to do it and I was really impressed with the FG vet. I'm sure there are lots of them out there who are really dedicated to the horses and care about what they do, the piece just made me a bit sad. I don't get favorite horses very often, so it sucked.

Wonder why they left out the pic of the horse with two broken forelegs that they had in the magazine article.
