Derby Day: is there a Pick-6 guarantee?
Does anybody know if there's a guarantee of the Pick-6 pool? I think I remember that in years past there was a $3M pool minimum.
|
I think your thinking Breeders Cup. CD might have 500K guarantee, but not really sure.
|
they have had guaranteed pick 6's in the past, but no where near 3mm as I believe the record for a KD pick 6 handle is about 2.7 mm. I don't think this year has a guarantee.
|
You're thinking of the Breeders' Cup. Nobody plays the Pick 6 in Kentucky.

And there's no guarantee. |
isn't twinspires dot com having a player's pool again this year. I think they are putting in 100k on derby day. They will probably cover at least 5% of the pool

I can guarantee I won't be playing the Pick-6 at Churchill on Saturday.
That should wrap this up. |

Unless you dont think POTN is a single. |

Jon White is a smart guy. He will probably have better opinions that me this Saturday at Churchill. |

Looks like you could have a good mix of strong singles and a few wide open races with shaky favorites. |
Damn...this is impressive. Capping a card that doesnt even exsist yet.:tro:
What time are you on the show today? |
If Phil is right and there is only 150,000 in the pic six, w/ 75,000 coming from the twinspires players pool, that's nuts. I mean why in the world would anyone throw their money into the players pool?

Probably closer to 2 million ( +/- 600k) EDIT: I just looked at the previous pools and saw they were in the 750k range.. the player's pool is a joke 2005 = Pick 6 Pool: $776,278 2006 = 441,558 2007 = 1,429,995 2008 = 676,018 |
