HASKIN: "Birds" taking Derby wing..
Summer Bird and Mine That Bird BOTH Derby go's per Haskin..
|
I've never heard of either horse.
|
Summer Bird is at least an interesting horse.
Mine That Bird has $0 in Graded Stakes earnings and was 4th at Sunland Park last time out. His career top Beyer is like an 81. Stately Charachter would be a 1/20 favorite against him in a head-to-head. |
Can Mayor Marv be far behind?

His earnings from the Grey Stakes in Canada counts? I thought that was a Gr 3 Canadian
|
I guess it is an open Grade 3...
http://www.drf.com/drfNCWeeklyHorseD...81005&raceNo=6 He earned a 76 Beyer for this fine performance. Guess we now know who the longest shot on the board will be. |

Something like that.
Nicanor would smoke him. |

It was a tough setback for sure.

TFM, start your reading from the far right. Smoke and mirrors my friend - smoke and mirrors. |
Obviously some owners have a hard time differentiating derby fever and a migraine that's clouding their judgment:zz:

Man, I just read this thread about these hapless entries. I posted on another thread about hoping for some drama after tomorrow's Lexington, but maybe it's time for those in power to change a few of the entry rules and regulations of the Derby.

Gales will be unloading on Mine That Bird. Afterall - he might just be the single best horse Bennie L Woolley Jr. has ever trained! |
