John Madden

MaTH716 04-17-2009 08:19 AM

Even more so, with that schmuck Collinsworth doing the games!

Madden will be missed. As well as being a great coach for an impossible owner,
he seemed to be a "blue-collar" tyoe of regular joe who loved football. Hope he has a great, and long, retirement!

onebadbeast 04-17-2009 10:27 AM

i will miss him saying brett favre, brett favre, brett favre, brett favre:tro:

pgiaco 04-17-2009 10:42 AM

I will definitely miss him even though he has slipped a bit lately.

ddthetide 04-17-2009 11:04 AM

I won't miss him at all. I never really got him or his act, in the first place.

Give me a good play by play man in a both by himself and I'd be fine.

jwkniska 04-17-2009 02:08 PM

I'll miss him doing those games... and they replaced him with the absolute worst possible person too.

declansharbor 04-17-2009 02:22 PM

Has he given a reason as to his retirement? Think it has anything to do with Harry Kalas dying while practically on the job?

I, for one, am going to miss Madden's take on plays/games. I am, however, happy that I wont have to hear about his Brett Favre man crush anymore. I cringe when thinking about Collingsworth being shoved down our throats.

Antitrust32 04-18-2009 01:20 PM

I wont miss him unless he stops putting out his video game..

Danzig 04-18-2009 01:53 PM

collinsworth?!?! lol you gotta be kidding me. the only thing worse would be had they replaced him with joe buck.

it would be nice tho if madden would take al micheals with him. i can't stand that guy. altho, it would be funny to hear him screaming like a girl again if he happened to be in the booth during another earthquake...

he's trying to move frank caliendo into the ranks of the unemployed. i think that's a great reason.

pgardn 04-18-2009 02:46 PM

Yes.

His "act" changed.
They calmed him down.
I thought the last 2 years he
was much better.
