Ole "One Eye"

What is up with Pollard's Vision these days?

Balletto 08-07-2006 12:05 PM

Retired to stud at Wintergreen Stallion Station in Kentucky. He was very well received by breeders. I should add he covered his first mares this year and his first foals will be born this coming spring.

Balleto- where in CT do you "split time in?"

Balletto 08-07-2006 07:08 PM

In Bristol.

Looking at the thread title I thought you were talking about Tracy Hebert.

On another note, i absolutely loved Pollards Vision on the track. One of my favorite races was the Pimlico Special that Eddington won. I just thought it was so cute (yes I'm comfortable enough to use the word cute) when Pollards Vision was craning his head down the lane to get his good eye (left I believe) in a position to see who was coming. Granted Eddington was well past, but all things considered Pollards Vision had a hell of a career earning more than $1 million and a Grade 1 winner/Grade 1 placed. He was my Derby horse in 2004 but he ran way up the track. Glad to hear that he has been well received by the breeders!

That'd be some skills right there if he were walking the horse AND taking a picture of himself from a distance at the same time. I'd say that would almost be like being in two places at once.

*EARTH TO SLOTDUMBASS.....COLONIAL MEET ENDS THE 12TH*

"sure John, I would love to meet you there on the 19th. What's that? Pick me up? NOOOOOOOO...don't go through that trouble....you just drive on down...I will meet you at the track."

slotdirt 08-08-2006 08:47 AM

The 12th? WTF? I thought they went to Labor Day. Well shoot, that puts the 19th out of the question. That's what is great about the Claim Town meet - it never ends!

UGH... not me. :p I never win anything with harness darnitall. I do better (literally) picking a name and going with it.

slotdirt 08-08-2006 08:55 AM

The great thing about harness racing is that everybody knows it's rigged, so every better has the same shot at winning.
