Gatorette

Her pace figure will come back sky high anyway.

As I watched her race, I could hear the song "Anything you can do I can do better" in my head. Or was it worse? I'm confused.

I'm not sure - but she didn't really figure to stretch out. She shut down in an instant after her last race - I was kind of surprised they came back as quick as they did.

The Sheets people that don't believe in pace will tell you it was just another case of a big ole bounce from running a big race last out - and showing up today on short rest.

It looked like the top 2 moved too early , but after watching the replay that may have been an illusion with Gatorette backing up.

Pretty fast final time.

I have the pace figure 11 points faster than the final figure for this race. Obviously very strongly paced race. 106 pace 95 final.

Great ride by Levya on the mega longshot 3rd place finisher to be very patient and relax his horse back in last place .. when everyone but the top two started to meltdown - he got some nice Gr 2 black type for a daughter of Gulch who has no abilty at all.

The final margin of victory for Justwhistlendixie was just 1 3/4 lengths - but on Thoro-Graph and Ragozin five pounds at five furlongs equals a length - so she gave 2.88 lengths away in weight .. and on Thoro-Graph and Ragozin one path of ground loss on each turn equals one length - Justwhistlindixie was two paths wider than Casonva Move on the first turn - and one path wider on the second turn. A total of 3 lengths in ground loss.

So.... 1.75 + 2.88 + 3.00 = 7.63 lengths. Both Thoro-Graph and Ragozin will have Justwhistlindixie running a figure more than 7.5 lengths faster than the 2nd place finisher due to weight and ground loss. Keep that in mind when you think about the final odds these two might go off at in the Ky Oaks.

I think that Coa was trying to pull her up.
I posted this the day of her last race.

Justwhistledixie was originally given a Beyer figure of 87 ... but it has been now upgraded to the 95 I came up with a few hours after the race.

Can't argue the revised number on that one ... but I still feel the 95 is a little shaky as well .. and might be just a touch high or low.
