3/27: Gulfstream (Late P4)

Thursday's swing at the Big A P6 was over early, but it was a good afternoon overall with several juicy plays available for cashing pleasure. Only one player negotiated the sequence successfully, a gambit that was worth exactly $100,000. There were no impossible horses in the sequence, the biggest price being $13+ for KMc's feature winner Per Incanto, but it was one of those sextets where having all the 2nd, 3rd, 4th choices involved was elusive.

The day's best were the full exotics ($150+ tri and $300+ super) available in the 4th, though my tabs ran 2-3-4-1, and the aforementioned Per Incanto, a gift to players at more than 5-1 in a short field. The Shadwell runner had been tearing up Palm Meadows before McLaughlin shipped him north to able shed supervisor Artie Magnuson. Hope you did well. Gulfstream late P4 the interesting action on the eve of a nice Florida Derby card Saturday...

GULFSTREAM

POST-SCRATCHES

6th: MDN CLM, F&M-3+, 7.5f (.50 P4, P3, DD, Super)

Woof... Dreadful bunch.

Most Likely: #9 Aiuni 3-1 WON
Best Value: #4 Kayle'sluckydance 8-1 9th
Next Best: #6 Qualquin 5-2 3rd
Super Add: #1 Secret Vendetta 4-1 2nd

7th: MSW, 3yo-F, 1m-T (P3, DD, Super)

Very tricky read on lightly-raced and unraced fillies going a grassy mile..

Best Value: #4 Averymerrymoment 8-1 2nd
Most Likely: #8 Lady Fingers 6-1 4th
Next Best: #7 Under Grad 10-1 5th
Super Add: #9 Ramya 12-1 7th

8th: Bonnie Miss (Gr. II), 3yo-F, 9f (DD, Super)

Most Likely: #3 Gatorette 2-1 5th
Next Best: #6 Justwhistledixie 7-5 WON
Exotics Use: #1 Casanova Move 3-1 2nd

9th: CLM/N2L, 3yo, 6.5f (Super)

Most Likely: #5 Notecard 7-2 8th
Best Value: #9 We Have Ignition 6-1 6th
Next Best: #6 Mike's Kong 6-1 WON
Super Add: #11 Chapel Run 8-1 3rd

<$75 P4 Play:

Will try to beat potentially distance-questionable Justwhistledixie in the feature with Gatorette, and catch big prices everywhere else in the sequence. Hedge the anti-Dixie opinion with 6-All Late Double tickets that cover the P4 investment. If you believe in the Bonnie Miss favorite, you can go the other way and cover Gatorette as the DD play..

6: 1-4-6-7-9
7: 3-4-7-8-9-11
8: 3
9: 4-5-6-9-11

5x6x1x5 = 150 x .50 = $75

Good luck!
Steve

All I can say is it's better than losing. Would have had a nice score if the 9 in the 7th came through and won. May play SA later on.
