"In pre-kindergarten, his teacher had him do more challenging work, such as division and telling time. In kindergarten, his classmates are learning the alphabet and numbers up to 100. He's counting over 1 million."

lol.

someone sat around and listened to him accomplish this?

or...once you figure out powers of 10, the sky's the limit? if i were the reporter, i'd have gone with a trillion which is more newsworthy at the moment.

he's obviously a bright kid that tests well on the kind of intelligence that's testable. but comparing that kind of intelligence to einstein is suggesting that someone who can name the most colors is the best artist.

i feel bad for him. his parents must have called the paper or at least ok'd the article. intellectual stage parents.

he can't help but disappoint.

Someone needs to get him involved in horse racing..that will bring him down to earth...or he might be a walking Formulator 4!

"if you can count from 1 to 100 in one minute, and you keep counting every minute, without stopping, for eight hours every day (taking time off to eat, sleep, and go to school), you would reach 1,000,000 in 20 days, 6 hours, and 40 minutes, or almost 3 weeks."

i looked it up, as i remember once reading about a math teacher and his class studying how long it would take to right it out. one of his kids used a computer program to put it on paper...

yea, parents living through their kids.

My daughter is my little wiz-kid.
no memory tricks or pressure though...

taught her chess in a couple of days when she was 6... took her to a chess club for grade school beginners, and she had to start carrying extra queens in her pocket for promoting pawns. I was impressed.

Not sure that she is any type of genius. Every parent feels their kid is the best. She's about a grade or two ahead academically but it isn't evident unless she is given work above the level of the class. Seeing her papers you'd never know it. She might misspell her name:rolleyes:, misspell or fail to fill-in-the-blank with the answers in the paragraph above etc...
A real knucklehead like her dad. Rather than going ahead beyond basic math, we do extra work on common sense, and how to be a good 2nd grader.

My IQ tested at something like 346 the other day.

Going to drink wheat beer and watch a whole lot of Glenn Beck and hopefully I can drive it down back into the 200's and contain it there.

You sure there wasn't one of those "-" before the 346??

The Indomitable DrugS 03-23-2009 02:03 PM

Pretty sure.

In fact - I should have got bonus points because I took the thing with one hand.

As I recall - my other hand was busy fingering some hottie sitting next to me that I had met earlier in the day when I went to the pet store to buy my dog some food.

This chick was so horny that it felt like a horse was eating out of my palm. Anyway - I upped the fingering tempo, and she leans over and starts kissing my neck and whispering dirty thoughts in my ear.

"So, what's on your mind?" - Me, still fingering her
"How we absolutely must fucl<." - Her
"When?" - Me
"Now." - Her
"Where?" - Me
"Men's bathroom. In a stall." Her, whimpering.
"Are you sure?" - Me, playing hard to get.
"Definitely." - Her

I got stamina like no one's ever seen ... but I'll be damned if I'm gonna let my pulled pork slammers get cold. I got a nut in world record time.

Like Thoro-Graph's bounce theory? That 176 IQ score is going to ruin his form cycle - especially at such a young age.

My IQ is 7.37623 on synthetic surfaces.
Below Badgers or Hedgehogs and other varments
that predict weather.

I feel I am smarter than most conifers.
So I got room to improve and got more
brain power than a Scotch Pine.

If you have one bucket that holds two gallons, and you have another bucket that holds five gallons, how many buckets do you have?
