End game strategies...

I am obviously wrong about this as no college or pro coach does it and they know more than me...but it happened in the Siena/Ohio State game...it happened in the George Mason/Penn State NIT game...a team ahead by 3 with well under 10 seconds left and they let guys dribble full court and shoot three pointers.

WHen ahead by 3 with under 10 seconds what is the strategy involved with not fouling in the backcourt and sending the guy to the foul line up by 3 points??

OH well, the Siena/Ohio State and FSU/Wisconsin games were tremendously exciting...terrific performances and great shots on all 4 teams.

I guess the Ohio State coach instructed his players to foul Moore while he was bringing the ball up but they didn't get it done.
