When was the last time horses in a Gotham had made their previous starts at 6 different tracks?

AQU, SA, GP, PHA, LRL, GG

How 'bout that?

Should be great. Any chance you make it down to the Big A?

I was thinking the same thing. Nice to see it.

What a great betting race #2 Russell Road very interesting.. Obviously he has faced nothing like he'll face Saturday.

He's also never gone a route, but he is a cool horse to follow. West Va has sent some decent horses to NY in the past including Researcher.

Anybody have any thoughts on the mercurial Ah Day in the Toboggan? There seems to be enough pace to set up his run..

Do you think Lucky Island is the same horse as he was last spring? The works look spotty so I think he's a bet against. I just emailed a friend of mine who I'm going to the the Big A with on Saturday and said that Ah Day could pick up the pieces of a meltdown at a big price.

1. Mr. Fantasy Or Imperial Council
2. Masala

what a brutal morning line for the Gotham.

Haynesfield is the handicapper's underlay and should be no more than 7/2 in the morning line, and is a discouraging 5-1!

Masala, the overlay every handicapper wanted to sneak into his exotic tickets is a cat-out-of-the bag 5-1 4th choice. OUCH!

Very discouraging to have BOTH the underlay and the overlay adjusted in the morning line. A good chunk of money was set to play Haynesfield and overlook Masala, and to the discredit of the linesmaker, I believe we will see this reflected clearly in the Post Time Odds even with the poor ML.

With racing THIS GOOD, I might have to give up all those other tracks and play AQU (and NYRA) exclusively.

One thing is for sure: NYRA doesn't have overly demanding fans.

I think Dunkelberger is used to about 6 or 7 turns at this distance. He might have trouble timing his move here.

He used to ride in NY and he rides at LRL. . . he'll be fine - only question is if the horse is good enough. . . I'm playing Axel Foley.

I assume out of loyalty to Beverly Hills Cop III?

Joey, I absolutely love Ah Day tomorrow (so now he has no shot). I just hope that the track is playing fair enough that he could close into what should be a sucidal pace.

In the 6th at Aqueduct, I like a horse like Counter Move, easy winner at Turfway switches to high % trainer; a nice 2/59 work on the training track on 2/15; West Coast Flyer can't be 15-1 in the Tobaggan, but I'll accept double digits; I'm going to pass on the Gotham-it's too wide open and I'll just pull for Mr Fantasy, who is in my Road to the Roses stable

King Glorious 03-07-2009 12:27 AM

Imperial Council
Haynesfield
Mr. Fantasy

CSC 03-07-2009 10:54 AM

It looks like there will be a good to honest pace in the Gotham, assuming the riders are going to do what they are supposed to do, the last time I thought that they left a horse out as the lone speed and it was all over.

Coach Pants 03-07-2009 01:55 PM

The duct is a highwaaaaay.

I wanna ride it all night long.

the_fat_man 03-07-2009 01:57 PM

NYRA comes up BIG again, with the BIGTIME BIAS on the biggest day of racing so far this year.

BUSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HH
