I thought I'd be laughed out of the barns telling anyone I'd win. :o

But now I am encouraged! Can you believe it? the same connections that upset Secretariat with Onion!

Swap Flip,
That's exactly what makes this all so much fun.
Nobody is going to laugh at you.
All of us put out "hopeless" picks.
And then, there are "real cappers" on this board that share P4's, P6's, and too many winners to even think about. Not me by any stretch....once in a while I get "lucky".

If you want to see a nice one that H Allen Jerkens and his connections (Hobeau Farm) stands at High Cliff Farm, go to nybreds.com and click on their link (blue) on the right side. The stallion's name is Kelly Kip.
I have a filly by Stanislavsky and a mare in foal to Best of Luck.

H Allen Jerkens is in the Hall of Fame, and rightly so. I have a lot of respect for his ability to train and breed, year after year. He is a "true" horseman".

Just have fun with this "crazy game".
Hope you continue to post here.
There are some people here that can teach you a lot.
They've taught me too.

And don't forget Prove Out..Same year, same trainer. I believe that is where he got his moniker with those two.

Ah, I've heard of Kelly Kip, though I admit I'm a bit rusty on his trivia. Best of Luck is a good-looking sucker from what I can recall...

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, I will check back in more often! And yes, Jerkins certainly keeps pulling off one more upset when I keep thinking his best work is over and done... :)

he's probably gotten more e-mail than any other horse .

randallscott35 08-06-2006 12:23 AM

That's an underlay at 5-1. Obviously she won, but its still an underlay in a 14 horse field.

oracle80 08-06-2006 06:59 AM

I try not to be negative but that they may have been the most disappointing Test I ever saw. It simply had no excitement and where were all the horses? I saw like 3. The rest were stragglers.
