7th Gulfstream - What?

12+ horses in this race and it's hard to make a case for any of them. None have a mare that has produced a turf winner.

Can you make a case for any of them? I'd serious like to hear your thoughts. I can go only by jockey/trainer angles and take the 11, the firt time starter.

Thoughts,

Spyder

of the horses that have started I like the five Dirty During.
his two year old form was easily better than the current form of the others.

certainly the kinda race that a first timer with any kind of ability could take down.

9,10,11 (all FTS) and the 5 Dirty During

McPeek has a firster that is well bred for the turf, using the Tomlinson ratings, and he can get a debut winner over a route of ground.

Small stable of Mario Morales can get a turf winner first crack.

Again nice Tomlinson #s on Would and Could so he might wake up & hit the board.

Interesting that besides one horse that has run, no one can make a case for all the rest. Like I said, I find it interesting there are so many horses that don't make sense in this race. Just find it strange.

I can see the "all" button producing a crazy horse in pick 3's for big money

The 12 is a touch interesting but the post will hurt

$5.20 winner. I've learned that when it seems like an ALL button situation, you probably shouldn't press it because a short price will win.

So true.

Just don't play the race. Wait for a better opportunity.

I didn't play it. Have gotten better at picking my spots. The race just seemed very weird with none of the horses belonging in it. If you were to see the PP's and not know it was a turf race, 9 times out of 10 you would never pick the correct surface and distance

Story of GB & my summer at Arlington. You love a horse or two in another leg so you build the ticket around them and find an inscrutable race like that...press ALL to buy the damn thing, and you get a $5.60 winner.

Every. Single. Time.

I believe this summer's strategy will be spend less and lose gracefully rather than being humiliated by that.
