Blue Diamond Stakes Night: (7 Group Races)

Good stuff from Caulfield and Rosehill tonight. Big rainstorm in Sydney so the track is downgraded.

I'm going for Lighthorseman in the second at Rosehill, and I have to take Theseo in Race 4 from Caulfield.

Not in one of the G1s but good luck to Mentality tonight!

He scratched...

I was looking forward to him going 7 furlongs too.

Awww, I didn't know.

Okay well disappointed but I shall now root for Marching.

Growl and Symphony Miss too (in their respective races). :)

Come home safe, kids.

Growl just got drilled... poor guy.

I put 10 across on Reward For Effort.

Coach Pants 02-20-2009 11:13 PM

Yessir.

Nice job on that one CP, I lost $230 on Rostova...

I thought 9/5 was a gift on her, but she ran like ****.

Guess what, I was wrong.

He scratched at Rosehill but is running in Melbourne in Race 8. Looks to have a good shot

Coach Pants 02-20-2009 11:24 PM

Thanks.

I'll have to watch it again and see if Real Saga had any trouble. Was flying down the lane.

Scurlogue Champ 02-20-2009 11:45 PM

I think Caulfield is just playing to horses closer to the pace today, he sure did make up some ground though.

I would say he'll be back to his winning ways next up.

Used to you would see Sydney tracks favoring speed all of the time, and this year Melbourne has been like a paved highway more often than not. It is frustrating, but you can make some nice scores.

Coach Pants 02-20-2009 11:52 PM

Time Matters. Yep it's speed favoring.

Crazy stuff there at Flemington, kind of like Keeneland back in the day.

In the Winning Edge Presentation Stakes (Race 7 at Rosehill) Tuesday Joy should run a big one. She loves the wet ground and this distance will be good for her first up. Apparently she has been working up a storm for Waterhouse.

Anything over 2/1 and I'm firing.

Scurlogue Champ 02-21-2009 12:25 AM

Tuesday Joy got it done at 3/2.

I'm going with the South African mare Dane Julia in the nightcap at the heath.

Freedman and Dunn usually send their horses to the front, and she should be rearing to go first up here.

Probably will get a fair price on her.

Coach Pants 02-21-2009 12:30 AM

Good call.

I took the closer Flying Ruby. :zz:

Scurlogue Champ 02-21-2009 12:33 AM

Damn Dane Julia didn't go to the front...

No good for me. Did you bet to place, I thought you had the win there.
