Word To The Wise On Semis - Keep Your Distance

As I exit off of 270 to head into Beulah Park to purchase tomorrows DRF I ease to a stop behind this semi at a light. I am probably a car length back. Just relaxing and then all of a sudden this semi is backing up:eek: I lay on the horn, look in the rear view mirror and see a car behind me. The semi is still backing up. I wave at the car behind me while backing up. This driver sees whats happening and backs up not one split second too soon, I'm tellin ya this semi trailer was a good inch maybe 2 from taking out the top part of my car and god knows what else. It could have been REAL bad, like taking my head off.

I plan on leaving myself PLENTY of room from now on when I come to a stop behind a semi. Lesson learned. It shook me up for a good half hour.

you got out and shot him right? I can then have hope it was 'Crusty the Truck Driver' and never have to hear 'Hey who's the winner in NY' with spit and teeth falling out.

dont follow them to close at all..if you have to pass them do it quickly..with the economy so bad they wont be buying new tires..and retreds fly apart..

Hit by flying retreds several times....very scary

Still, if a truck was backing up at me from a stop, I'd be taking down the licence plate and letting him hit me with a call to a real good lawyer right after. I can already feel my neck hurting....bad, real bad.
