RIP, what a great mare.

I was afraid we'd hear that one day. I'm so glad she was so well looked after this long. She got to be retired as a momma for a little while and pampered like she deserved.

not really surprised-the surprise is probably that she made it this long. it's a shame she had to fight that horrible disease for so long, she was certainly courageous. one of the best broodmares ever to grace our presence.

Hands down one of the great racemares, at least from a talent standpoint, that I can remember seeing.

I always thought she had such an amazing turn of foot. Too bad she was such a nutcase and also had hardluck, as in the BC mile. I still believe had she not been eliminated early in the race she could have won, even against that field.

Don't miss Bobby Frankel talking warmly about her with me on ATR replay or Archive.. Followed by a Steve Haskin wrap-up.

Will come around on the replay stream at about 10:30p...
