Nothing has jumped out at me yet. Going to Vegas for Super Bowl and I want to place 3 or 50-1 bets. Does Jarry Jones have any ?

I'm pretty sure Old Fashioned is his....but I could be wrong.

I think Summer's Empire at 200/1 is a good bet off his 68 Beyer in the restricted Hawthorne stake a few weeks ago. /sarcasm

(though really, I wouldn't mind having one on him...)

Quality Road @ 50-1 is worth a gamble.

Make sure you at least compare prices at the LV Hilton and Wynn. There are not many books left that book a traditional future book. Both the LV Hilton and Wynn do a good job of maintaining odds. Most joints just lower odds on horses they get action on. LV Hilton and Wynn will adjust odds up on horses that do not have action in order to attract wagers to balance their books. They excersize risk management, which is the proper way of booking future wagers. If a book has not raised odds on any horses since the openers, stay away. Also if LV Hilton or Wynn does not have a horse listed, just ask a Racebook Supervisor. They should add the horse onto their list and give you a decent price.

More than half of Derby future wagers in Nevada are made in the prior year, so its pretty slim pickins for value by this time. The best bets at this stage are lightly-raced runners who will start fairly soon. There's not much point in playing a horse who won't make his seasonal debut before February because the price won't change much, if at all, and so many things can happen to derail the Derby bid. If I were inclined to make future plays this late, I'd look at the probables for the Lecomte and other stakes being held in early to mid-January.

those are the only 2 books that I know of that have that wager. you used to be able to compare with Bally's/Caesars, but they didn't have them when I was there last month.
