question about cancelling cards

i know a couple racetracks cancelled today...what is the hottest temp they will go at. i am sure it is hot all the time. but what makes it too "hot"

There is no temperature, they just go by what the jockeys and trainers feel is ok. Usually it is more dew point than temperature though, which takes into account the humidity. Anything over 110 is virtually impossible to race in.

LaD has always raced during te summer and I dont rmember them ever canceling. I know a lot of trainer used to refuse to ship in for some of there larger stakes races because of the heat.

sometimes it's the heat over a period of days that wears everbody down and causes a cancellation.

Does drf offer refunds on their papers if the track(s) cancel? Or are you out $5?

I would think you're out of luck -$5
