The Ballad of Pval?

Where's that thread anyway? Thought this was worth some attention away from the Big Contest for atleast a few seconds...2 days two stks winners at the Fairgrounds for Mott. Yes I know Pat's had more chances than one person probably deserves, but it's always nice to see him zigging and zagging all over the track again. No, that wasn't sacasm.

I think this is the thread you are talking about and as for the zig and 'da zag....
If I hadn't taken a shot with Snug I might have enjoyed the weeble wobbling to victory.....now if he can just handle a little success without self destructing we can all enjoy what could be a run at the jock title if he gets the quality of horses he got this weekend.

He's fun to watch, his stats at the LAD meet were only average which surprised me considering he has ridden in the toughest jockey colony's there are, maybe he wasn't getting the live horses but this looks like the old P Val. I'd take him early in the meet because I can imagine he's going to be bet down on whatever horse he's on soon.

Okay the 2 seconds is up!

Nice to se him doing well.

Everyone deserves multiple last chances.

The Cal authorities tried to micromanage his off-track life; he was never in trouble for anything he did while riding (except your normal day-to-day aggressive jockey stuff). It was his downtime, injury or suspension, when he wasn't getting his rush from riding, when the demons came out. If he can keep healthy and on the right side of the stewards in LA, he could be all right.

his off track life affected his on track doings. you really think he was only high on life when riding?

Yes, endless chances for our friends with drug issues who only hurt themselves.

As far as the multiple thing, well... lets leave that alone. :D

Continued good luck to Patrick.

VALENZUELA MISSES CARD: Jockey Patrick Valenzuela was replaced on all six of his scheduled mounts Thursday. The stewards said Valenzuela called and said he was ill. They said he won't be allowed to ride again at the meet until he brings them written clearance from a doctor.

Good grief:zz:

He seemed to be on the road to recovery and seemed to have a grip..

Hopefully he really was just sick...Hard to ever believe him though.

CSC 11-30-2008 10:51 AM

Hey Pat!

A bit of advice to help you with your life.

You need to make up your mind and decide if you are a Drug addict or not.

Once you make your choice it lets you be the best at it that you can.

Hope you make the right chioce.
