Whether it is your fancy to support McCain or Obama.....

Slots for horse racing in Maryland or not......(please yes)

Or any local question of significance that effects your life.

Please exercise your right to vote today......

letswastemoney 11-04-2008 12:28 AM

Sure, I'll vote.

:::turns on Nintendo::::

Zaf 11-04-2008 12:41 AM

Me too, Steven Harper , ehhhh

Indian Charlie 11-04-2008 12:52 AM

Yeah, I'll get right on that.

Let's see, which guy do I want to enlarge my ashole with?

Hell, if I knew King Glorious's real name, I'd write him in, since he seems like he could tie up congress for years.

KirisClown 11-04-2008 01:15 AM

You can stop voting , but they will still call you for jury duty. :zz:

You lose your right to bitch about the government when don't vote.

I plan on downleading the form for a track today and taking it to cap while I wait in line for hours. You know they should have elections on any day but Tuesday as there's no good tracks today.

That way I'm sure to pick a winner...maybe not the election, but at least some horse that will give me an instant economic incentive.

Voted first thing this morning and couldn't believe the turnout. There were long lines at 6:45 this morning. It was orderly chaos (if that makes sense). I can only imagine what it is going to be like at other polling places that might not have less voting booths, or other methods to vote. I really believe that there will be alot of people crying foul on both sides, because their supporters didn't have an opportunity to vote.

I worked Monday overnight and went right to the polls in Maryland as soon as I got off .....

Process took about 75 minutes which is 70 minutes more than usual in my neck of the woods.

It is interesting that the wording of Question 2 or the referendum for slots essentially says. "Are you in favor of granting no more than 5 video poker licenses who's proceeds would go to building and improving community schools in grades K-12"

As in do you want the money or do you want to continue to build schools in Delaware and West Virginia??

Not a single word about racing purses...

You've lived in MD for how long, 20 years? And how long has the state neglected racing, despite its rich history?

I really, really hope it passes this time.

I've heard of some polling places being slow etc., but my friend just said people were being treated differently based on the color of table was listed on their sample ballot. He said he was waiting in a " orange table" line, but he realized he had "green table" printed on his ballot. Said hardly anybody was waiting in the "green table" line. Said the people he was in line with("for the orange table") had barely moved when he was done voting.

Voted about 10am at my rural PA site, very heavy for the site, this is conservative territory (the Klan still is active here) so I'm sure McCain will carry the county...didn't get accosted by any right wing fanatics so a good day!

LOL...true! When I worked at Victor Cullen (Juvenile correctional facility), I encountered the Klan almost every evening on my way home...at least when the weather was good...guess those sheets run in the rain or snow! A-holes didn't even bother to cover their vile faces with their traditional hoodies, guess they felt safe. Can't tell you how often I wondered how many I could end with my car....peace, love, brotherhood...ah screw it, nobody would miss a couple!
