"Gas is up and so am I."

This is what Manny said as he left Dodger Stadium a couple weeks ago: "I want to see who is the highest bidder. Gas is up and so am I."
Sure doesn't seem like the 1st half effort of 2009 is gunna be as important to him as the 2nd half effort in 2008. How has he played during the 1st year after signing contracts? At least he likes playing in L.A. I would be pretty wary if I was G.M. of a club he has never played for. He's more important during the regular season than in the post. Good as he is(he can't pitch,) soon as Billingsley turned woman, that series was over. We could of had 2 mannies, and it wouldn't make up for one Billingsley turning woman on the mound. If you have pssy pitchers in the post, you're getting beat. Period.

Actually I filled my tank for $2.44/ a gallon today and Manny might not get the money he is thinking he's worth if the early returns are on target....the contracts are judged by the A-Rod insanity and his agent is clearly the antichrist who should be sentenced to working the lunch line in a maximum security prison for the rest of his life for the crap he has infected baseball with in his career.....telling Manny to lay down on the Sox should have taken the guys license to practice with MLB if Selig wasn't gelded at 50 years of age himself!!:D

I appreciate Manny's candor.

Having said that, a team would have to be insane to give him more than 3 years...and even that is stretching it.

Gas always goes down when there is a Presidential election with a Republican incumbent. Of course, it never has anything to do with the election. There's always some other reason.

He must have incriminating pictures of the GM. That's more than Dustin Pedroia makes on an annual basis.(6.75 million/year for 6 years)

Reneria 9.25million/year for 2 years:eek:

He started pretty young. He is 33, and plays like he is 38. Giants need somebody who could possibly get hot , and hit some out of the park. They lack power, and he is probably gunna hit 10-12 again this year. Poorly run organization, and this is a good example of it. "Sabean said he and his staff would discuss not only Burriss but also infielders Kevin Frandsen and Eugenio Velez during next week's winter meetings in Las Vegas. "
Like I said, they need power. So, Velez would be a better fit on a team with power. Any ball he hits the least bit slowly is gunna get him on base. Just too fast to throw out. Giants are retarded enough to give him away for a sandwich. You would think that the Dodgers or DBACKS would want that guy. They both lost multiple games due to this guy's ability to be a very tough out when you most need an out. He gives you 4 out innings late in games. No doubt, he has to improve defensively(which he is trying to do in Arizona right now..I think.) Somebody looking to improve team speed will pick him up. Chisox are pretty slow aren't they, Bob?
